GRIMMETT DOB: 11/27/1986 53 EMS C17 LN Warsaw, IN 46582 AFFIDAVIT OF PROBABLE CAUSE ‘The undersigned, being first duly sworn upon his oath, deposes and says upon information and belief that, in Kosciusko County, State of Indiana, CHRISTOPHER A. GRIMMETT did commit the offense of Murder, a Felony, and in support thereof says as follows: 1. That the undersigned is a law enforcement officer employed as a detective with the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department 2. That on November 11, 2016, this affiant was assigned to assist Kosciusko County Sheriff's deputies with an investigation of missing child, ARRAMcars of age. At approximately 10:24pm on November 10,2016, Kosciusko County dispatch received the inital call as @ missing person and was directed to M@60:e 2 PORN Warsaw, IN. Upon arrival of the officers, interviews were taken of QQAMAB)AGHUIRp, Katie Stamper, and her boyfriend, Christopher A. Grimmett. Through the course of trying to locate the whereabouts of the child, it was determined that the child had been with Christopher A. Grimmett beginning at approximately 3pm at 2QQMRMMNAGRIME, Warsaw, IN- which is the home of Christopher A. Grimmet's brother, Johnny Grimmett. Christopher Grimmett advised this affiant that around 5pm, a woman that he believed to be her grandmother had picked her up. Christopher Grimmett advised that he gota taxi later in the evening and went back to (GiiaAAigMMMNAS. This information was verified by contacting the taxi company, The driver of the taxi remembered observing blood on the pants of Christopher Grimmett. 3. That law enforcement officers received consent to search the property ates Warsaw, IN from the owners and found substantial blood in the home, Also, officers located! a suspicious area in the backyard which appeared to be fresh dirt on a small area where leaves had been cleared. Officers along with technicians from the Major Crime Scene ‘Task Force of Kosciusko County uncovered the dirt and located a child's body wrapped in white trash bags 4. That this affiant then again spoke with Christopher Grimmett and, after advising him of his constitutional rights and ‘warnings and he waiving same, admitted to this afiant that he had kille SAGARA «liao, vsa, IN on November 10, 2016 by beating her to death with his hands and burying her body in the backyard. 5, That this affiant is aware that an autopsy was conducted of AAMélige 2 the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center, Port Wayne, IN on November 11, 2016 and that a preliminary determination of the cause of death was from evident blunt force traumatic injuries.
