GERUNDS
A gerund is a verb that acts like a noun. To form a gerund, add Ing to
the end of the verb.

The imperative form is the same as the bare infinitive. It has only one
form for both second person singular and plural 'you'
Examples:
go out immediately
Do not smoke!
I N G L E S

Turn left
2. To give commands
don't lie.
3. To give advice
4. To invite

EXAMPLE / EJEMPLOS:
A relative clause gives extra information about nouns - how exactly does
it do this? Unlike an adjective, which in English comes before the noun,
relative clauses always follow the noun that they are defining or
describing. In the following examples, the whole relative clause is in
bold:
The first thing to notice from these examples is that the relative clause
can come both at the end and in the middle of the sentence. The second
point of interest is the type of word that can introduce a relative clause,
in these instances, which, who and that - in this context these words are
known as relative pronouns.
We can opt to use that where we might sometimes use which or who, as
you can see from these sentences modified from the ones above:

You may also have noticed that there is another relative clause
construction that can be applied to all the above examples - the relative
pronoun can be left out with no obvious change in meaning.
Again, the relative clause can occupy the same positions as before, but
try to take out the relative pronoun this time and compare the results.
You should find that they do not produce acceptable English sentences.
Can you see why?.
The relative pronouns where and when are used with place and time
nouns. Examples: FIS is a school where children from more than 50
countries are educated. 2001 was the year when terrorists attacked the
Twin Towers in New York.
We may also use the "WHEN" which means:
WHEN ("when", "where") refers to a time. Can be used THAT in place
or omitted.

York.
El WHEN significa:
I N G L E S
WHEN (cuando, en que) hace referencia a un tiempo.
Se puede utilizar that en su lugar u omitirse.

continuous tenses.
4 As and when can also be followed by
simple tenses.
5 As soon as and till/until are followed
by simple or perfect tenses.
6 Since is followed by a perfect or a simple tense, depending on
the meaning.
When we use since to say how long ago something happened, we use
a simple tense in the main clause.
Note: some of the time conjunctions (after, before, since, until, till) are
also prepositions which indicate time. When we use them as
prepositions, they are followed bye nouns, object pronouns, or verbs in
the ing form:
