demonstrate and articulate the four steps of throwing.

During the lesson focus I will give the students a task and ask them for thumbs up for
comprehension. At the end of each objective I will ask the students to demonstrate it to me while
observing if my instruction lead to a successful outcome

WHAT WILL YOU DO TO ENCOURAGE PA BEYOND THE LESSON?


I will encourage PA beyond the lesson by demonstrating the importance of physical activity and how
they can individually benefit.

CONTENT SEQUENCE:
Opening/Anticipatory Set: (state objectives, connect to previous learning, and make relevant to real
life) I will explain todays objective and present to the students how they use throwing skills
throughout their daily activities like recess .

Introductory Activity/Warm-up segment:


Pre-assessment of game play- skunk tag
Fitness Development segment: four corner Animal signs
The students will engage in muscular strength and endurance activities that are
important in the musculoskeletal function of the body.
Skill Development content (Throwing skills) Include Critical Elements, Teaching Cues, and
Common Errors you will likely need to address: posture, stance, feet together , feet shoulder with
apart, back straight, head up , T, elbow, step and throw.
Feedback Statements: (specific positive and corrective)
Positive; Great job Jacqueline! Way to keep take a step before you throw.
Corrective; Great job Jacqueline! Way to keep your eyes on the target, This time try to end your
elbow at 90 before you throw.

Closure/Lesson Summary:
I will go over todays objective once more. Followed by having the students demonstrate or articulate
their understanding of throwing.

Lesson Extension:
Once the closure is done, I will assign the students homework that will contain teaching someone at
home the specific steps of throwing.
