Christine Sandford
Age: 17
Features: Brunette with ginger dip dye
and brown eyes
Character: Christine is playing the role of
Eve
Reasons behind casting:
Eve is the protagonist within our
production, not only that but it is the most
dramatically demanding character as she
has to behave as someone with a mental
disorder displaying a complete diversity
when it comes to the moods she must
display. We wanted our audience to be able
to relate to this character and therefore it
was important we chose a character within
our target audience age range. We chose Christine as she has a lot
of experience with acting as she has belonged to an acting class for
three years now and has performed in performances for her class
including Chicago and an interpretive piece inspired by Les
Miserable. She is also studying Drama at A-level as well as Creative
Writing so can understand aspects such as connotations and the art
behind our project. Christine is a confident character that has
experience with acting on camera for student films prior to this
production so is highly experienced. Christine is also very flexible in
terms of her availability so this was also another reason for choosing
her.

Tanyel Dayla
Age: 17
Features: Brunette with brown eyes
Character: Emel
Reasons behind casting:
Emel is a duetagonist and although she has
a very minor role, it was important to us that
we casted an individual with some acting
experience as she has to play the role of
someone physically abused by their partner
and we need this to be shown in the least
melodramatic way as possible. Making our
production look as realistic as possible, as

we want to represent a realistic representation of life with a mental
illness. Tanyel studied Drama at GCSE level where she received a B
so the characteristics of Emels role should be very easy for her to
master. She is less available than Christine, which is not too much of
an issue because she is only needed for three scenes.
Marcus Stamp
Age: 18
Features: Brunette with brown eyes
Character: Myles
Reasons behind casting:
Marcus is another duetagonist in this
production he is represented as
aggressive and therefore once again it
was important that we had someone
who had the ability to act in a way that
relates to the realistic verisimilitude of
my production. Marcus Stamp studied
Media at a GCSE and A level and
therefore can understand the necessary
performance level required for the
production to look good. Marcus has performed in other student
films and therefore has the experience necessary for this role. In
other productions he has played an antagonistic characters so I
know he can take on this role and execute it effectively. Marcus is
also very flexible and is always early and willing to give advice on
possible ways of improving our work.

Andrew Johnson
Age: 18
Features: Brunette with brown eyes
Character: Damion
Reason behind casting:
Damion is another duetagonist in this
production, he is represented as Eves
demonic impulse and this is probably
the second most demanding role for
any of the cast. It was imperative that
the actor was experienced and showed
capability to play the role. Andrew has
studied drama at both a GCSE and Alevel and has also attended stage
school outside of school where they have put on several local
productions including Bugsy Malone and Too Much Punch For Judy.
Andrew was a clear choice for this character due to the amount of

experience he has with acting, he has never done a filmed
performance before however proved efficient throughout the
entirety of our production.

Sophie Jade Laxton
Age: 17
Features: Blonde with blue eyes
Reason behind casting:
Sophie is another duetagonist in
this production, she is represented
as Eves suicidal impulse and this is
also a demanding role as it
surrounds a very sensitive subject
that we did not want to be seen as
melodramatic as it may come off as
being insensitive towards our
audience. Sophie is the director of
this Enigma Studios production; she
is passionate about this film and will
ensure she puts all of her effort in
to make this production look as
good as possible. Sophie studies both Media and Film Studies at Alevel so knows exactly how to work with the entire camera and has
performed on camera previously so knows the quality of acting
required to make the production look good.
