Calculate the earths magnetic field at a place where angle of dip is 60 0 and horizontal component of earths

(i) What is the relationship between the current and the magnetic moment of a
Current carrying circular loop? Use the expression to derive the relation between
the magnetic moment of an electron moving in a circle and its related angular
momentum?
(ii) A muon is a particle that has the sane charge as an electron but it 200 times
heavier than it. If we had an atom in which the muon revolves around a proton
instead of an electron, what would be the magnetic moment of the muon in the
ground state of such an atom?
(i) State Lenzs law. Give one example to illustrate this law . The Lenzs law is a consequence of the principle of
conservation of energy. Justify this statements .
(ii) Deduce an expression for the mutual inductance of two long coaxial solenoids but having different radii and
different number of turns.

An a.c. source generating a voltage V= Vm Sinwt is connected to a capacitor of capacitance C. Find the
expression for the current I flowing through it. Plot a graph of V and I versus wt.
A resistor of 200 ohm and capacitor of 15 uF are connected in series to a 200 V, 50 Hz a.c. source.
Calculate the current in the circuit and rms voltage across the resistor and capacitors. Is the algebraic sum of these
voltages more than the source voltage?
