I LOVE the great outdoors. I live each

Do you enjoy being in Leadership?
Leadership is so much fun. I get to be a
kid in my job. Its so much fun to play
games with the kids and experience life
through them.
What is your position as an ASB officer?
What about this position appeals to you?

ABS Advisor gives me the chance to

kids. It also gives me the opportunity to
get to know every kid at YHS, because I
dont get every kid in class.
Why did you choose to join Leadership?
I did Leadership in HS and never wanted
to quit, so I made sure I was ASB Advisor
as a teacher.
What do you have planned this year?
Events for every Holiday.

Maturity.

Yosemite National Park Hiking & Camping Trip

Leticia Camargo, Ms. Lopes

I had a great experience at Yosemite for the first

time. Yeah, people may say, oh hiking is not that
bad. Yeah, but try carrying a backpack full of
camping equipment and hiking up and down
steep walk ways man. It was a mission, but yet it
was a great firs time experience for me. We got
to go hiking, we set up tents, we made smores,
we made campfires. We learned how to survive
in the wilderness if we ever wanted to become a
ranger. Yeah, it was hard and it was different
from how we live at our house. The Rangers
taught us to always appreciate our home. We
learned to work as a team, meaning cleaning up
illegal campfires. We learned a lot about good
and negative things about camping.
Last but not least, the rangers we had were
awesome! Thanks Nutella & Mango, thanks for all
your support and teaching us how to be a real
ranger, love you guys and wish you guys the best
in college. Thanks Ms. Lopes for organizing the
trip for us, and thanks Mrs.Benavidez, you were
an awesome chaperone we had so much fun with
you guys!

Playing Volleyball for YHS

-By Heaven Murillo

I love Volleyball. It really is my favorite sport to play I feel our team

is very supportive of each other even when someone misses the
ball. We clap to show that it was good and to give them more
confidence in hitting the ball over next time. We all just try our
hardest. Kersten Vasquez , Chong, Julianna and Jarit Jodge: I
thought were inspirational. What I mean by that is that you
communicated well, helped out a lot with the team, and motivated
the team. Everyone wanted to be just as good as you. We won 10
games and had 3 losses. I could just say that that is very big for me
especially; because we always tried. We just kept on trying and we
kept working together and CALLING THE BALL before hitting it. I
very much appreciate the teamwork we all did for each other.

-The students who get a 3.0 or higher are

eligible to go on the trip to The Monterey
Bay Aquarium.
-Tons of fun! You get to walk around and see
the humongous aquariums and all the sea
animals. We get to eat and have lunch
together, then come back home.
-This trip takes place on November 17th
-The Monterey Bay Aquarium was founded
in 1984.

Heads up Dragons! Start saving energy as the competition for

Solar energy saving has G.T.E.C. head on their heels! Weve
spoken to several individuals within G.T.E.C. and what weve
heard from them is that they are just trying to make the world a
better and cleaner place one step at a time.
One thing for sure is that we can all take part in this and help out
our fellow Dragons win this competition! So lets get out there,
unplug phone chargers, and turn off lights, electronics, and
anything that is unnecessary while youre at home or at school
and show the world what we Dragons are made of!

5) Would you rather be at Yosemite High school or your regular

school? Why?

-By Marco Montes

Yosemite because the teachers actually care.

-I would rather be at my regular school because I want
to be able to graduate from there, have more
opportunities, and be with more of my friends.
Yosemite because the environment is way better, I get
my work done a lot faster, and my grades are really good
here.
Yosemite, because it is going to help me out.
Yosemite, because there is no homework here and it's a
much more relaxed environment than a regular school.

tend to be naive and a child at heart. Youre also very athletic, dynamic and have your
aggressive tendencies mainly because you have a complex combination of feminine and
strong masculine expressions all together which can be very confusing.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)-Youre cool, detached, and stubborn. You keep your
feelings, fears, and desires buried deep down inside to the point where people cant
even guess or begin to understand whats going on in your head.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)-Geminis tend to be the most talkative zodiac of them all.

very contradicting because you can become very jealous because of your insecurities
about how others see you.
Leo (July 23-August 22)-Charismatic, stylish, loyal, devoted, natural born leader and
proud would all be words used to describe you. Although the soul of a Leo evolves as
time passes, it all leads you to something better in life whether that be emotionally,
physically, or both.

standards for things you consider important in your life. Youre also creative, sensitive,

Letter to the Juniors
Dear Junior,
Yosemite High School is a very good school. I mean, its
not like any other school. Its very small, its only about
100 kids, but everything else is nice. The teachers are
very nice and helpful, when you are behind they give you
time to catch up, but you have to communicate with them.
The clubs are fun. I prefer Yearbook just cause its fun
and I love taking pictures.
Yosemite is very strict because they just want you to have
a good education and to just always do your best. They
might be hard on you, but its for a purpose. All you need
to do is work hard and do your best!
From, BB

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)-A Sagittarius is a somewhat simple, yet

still complex sign to describe because theyre optimistic and confident. Theyre also
spontaneous and very free-spirited, not to mention theyre also wisdom seekers.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19)-Only good things to say about Capricorns
because theyre ambitious, while still conservative and cautious. And of course theyre
very reliable and responsible.

Everyone in this school is a

dragon, but Im the only one
who is spittin fire while
rappin, ima start to stack all
my paper like they were
napkins, ima go from street rat
to royalty like Alladin, and i
wont be givin out nothin so
dont be askin, but as of now
Im just grindin for all them
goals, im tryna make it
diamond and I dont even need
coal, you know Ill be a tyrant
ferrari gon be my thrown,
this boy aint ever lyin go
head and look at my nose.
-Rojas-

Aquarius (January 20- February 18)-Youre very intelligent and innovative. And
since you apparently work well with others you often get involved with social programs
and help people because youre socially aware.
Pisces (February 19-March 20)-Since youre so talented, you tend to come off as
very alluring to the people. You can be described as imaginative and otherworldly
making you very receptive and sensitive the world and people around you.
