Question 1: Give a real example of a technical problem you solved using

knowledge you learned at school or from experience in your most recent


role? What was the problem? What actions did you take to succeed? What

Question 2: Please describe a real situation in which you had to


troubleshoot and fix the failure of a piece equipment/machine? What was
the equipment/machine? What steps did you go through to troubleshoot?

Before 2 years, at the summer .my cousin told me that his mobile drilling machine
is no more working. There was 3 parts: charger, battery and drilling machine, so
first I put the battery in charger and I plug the charger .The indicator light not
working which means that there is open circuit and I conclude that the battery is
not charging at all.
I open the charger and I found a burned resistance , I replace it with other one but
not the same and I reclose the charger and I plug it and finally the light is turning
on and after 5 minutes I remove the battery from charger and I put it in the
machine and wow it is turning on .

Question 3: Please describe a situation in which you were assigned a


technical task with a tight deadline. Please describe the assigned task
and required time frame. Please describes the steps and procedure you
took to complete this task. What was the outcome?
I was working as part time with my friend who has small company that makes a
study for optical fiber installation, every weekend he sent me some work to do
where I was filling an excel and aucoad files depending on the assignment
When weekend he told me that he has receive a lot of work and we have to do it
in2 days , so I didnt reject that and I told him to send me that work , I let
everything beside and start working till late time and I told my friend to bring my
food with them so like that I dont waste time
At late time of 2 nd day I finished the work and sent it tom my friend

Question 4: Tell me of a situation where you worked on a project with


deadline and a budget given, how you handled the situation, what was
the outcome and what would you do differently next time.
In my license project i had to implement a solar panel tracking system, and after I
went to electronics shop I found that my budget is not enough to buy all the
equipments, so I thought about working as part time job to make some money but
I saw that I will miss the deadline, so I cancel the implementation and I did a
simulation instead.
And this affects my final year grade and I took 14/20.

Question 5: Give a real example when you lead a group through a


challenging situation? What as the situation? What steps did you take to
lead the group? What obstacles did you overcome? How did you handle
non-cooperative group member? What was the outcome? What would you
do differently if you faced the same situation again?
In my 4th year of study, our teacher gave us many projects to do, they told each
group of 3 students to make a presentation and implementation for the project. I
really had non-cooperative friends who just say this is not important we will not do
it but for me this is not something new.
So I told them that if we dont do the project we will lost many points for our final
grade and this will affect our final year grade and maybe we will not pass to next
year. Also I told them I will lead the group and I will give a help for each one, just
we have to work together to finish the task before the deadline.
After long discussion they knew the importance of working in team and the
importance finishing the task before the deadline and how this will help us to
success in our study and our life.

Question 6: A good idea/ suggestion can sometimes be met with


opposition. Please describe a recent situation where you had to deal with
resistance to the idea you presented. Outline the background. What was
the resistance? How did you deal with it? Did you modify your idea/
suggestion? Was your idea/ suggestion finally accepted? If not, why?
What did you learn from this experience.

At my work and as a new electrical assistant, I suggest to the other electrician to


make a check of lights at the rig and camp every days. But he didnt accept that
and he said you are new and you dont anything. But I tried to convinced him
and I told him (this light are very important for the night worker and also the
company, so if a problem is suddenly happen to this light maybe one of our friends
will loss his life and also the operations of drilling will stop which means a huge
loss for company and if we do that this will help us to get felicitation from
chief.)After few arguments he accepts my suggestion and we had done some
amazing work.
I learned that if I want my idea to be accepted, I have to explain it politeness and
give a good argument.

Question 7: Tell us about a recent problem that came up at your current


job or in your school work for which old solutions would not work. What
was the situation? Why didn't the old solution work? What steps did you
take to come up with a new solution? What help did you need to achieve
a positive outcome? What was the outcome?
In my final year project, I faced a big problem in my implementation; the problem
was how to connect labview and arduino through Ethernet cable using tcp
protocols. I tried an old solution which is to search for a code version in the net
but really nothing work with that.
After 1 month of hard work, I told my friend lets try to write a new code rather
than bring it from arduino library or from net. I ask some professor , computer
students for help and everyone take me a step further to finish my project in
time .
Before 1 week from deadline I was really so happy for the final result and how the
project is finished in time.

I want to join Baker Hughes because it is a top oil service company that will give
me a new challenge to apply my skills and experience, and also it gives excellent
employee benefits, and offer good environment of teamwork with experts from
various disciplines and cultural backgrounds.

should we hire you?

Well, I have all of the skills and experience that youre looking for and Im
confident that I would be a superstar in this project management role.

Question 10: What was your favorite subject in college? Why? What did
you learn from it?
My favorite subject was industrial wiring because it was really amazing where we
had each new course a new equipment to know and also we dealt with each
equipment in the laboratory.
This gave me a background about real industrial equipment .

Question 11:Give an example of when you had a part fail and how did you
deal with it?
In my last year of study, our teacher gave us many project to do, he told us to
made a presentation and implementation for our project .After hard work. I failed
to meet the deadline and the implementation was not completed. As a result I lost
points on my final grade.
I learned the importance of examining tasks more carefully so I can better
estimate the amount of time required to complete them. I also learned to build
some flex time into projects so that if my estimates are wrong, Ill still have time to
complete the tasks.

Question 12:Have you ever been the head of a team with a member who
hardly keep to deadline? How did you solve the problem?

The fear of losing my loved ones. I would most probably lose my conscience if
I'd lose my mum. I love her so much. I can afford losing anyone right now.

My long-term goals involve growing with a company where I can continue to learn,
take on additional responsibilities, and contribute as much of value as I can.

Question 16: Have You Ever Had Difficulty Working With a Manager?
No, I am a hard worker, my manager always said you are not lazy stay with us
and keep learning . I've got along well with every manager I've had.

Question 17: Describe a time when you put your needs aside to help a co-worker or

classmate understand a task. How did you assist him or her? What was the result?
I was studying right before a power system exam. A couple of told me that they didnt
understand the concept of calculating the capacitance of transmission lines. Although there was
a small section of transformer that I had not completely mastered, I realized that I knew enough
about that section that I could perform well enough to earn a good grade. I knew that the
section that the other students did not understand was a major portion of the exam since the
professor had an interest in this particular subject. I stopped what I was doing to explain to the
small group about the concept. Those students learned enough from what I taught them that
they did well on the exam. I missed a few points on the section of transformer that I had not
mastered, but I did well enough to get an A, and the satisfaction I got from teaching others the
concept made me feel proud.

oil and gas industry with products and services for oil drilling, formation
evaluation, completion, production and reservoir consulting.
