CL AS S WORK AN D PA RT ICIPAT ION :

Hola! Me llamo Mackie Barber y soy

profesora de espaol.
I graduated from Boise State University in
2019 with a Bachelors degree in Spanish,
Secondary Education. I have studied in Costa
Rica and Mexico so far, and I plan to travel
more soon.
I live in Boise with my boyfriend, Cameron,
and our dog, Gunner. In my free time I like to
participate in outdoor activities with friends
and family. Some of my hobbies are
snowboarding, four-wheeling, and competing
in Spartan Races.
If you have any questions about me or my
class (or even another class), please let me
know! I know we will have a great semester!
Hasta luego!

Classwork and participation points will be marked

everyday. Students can miss 3 classes without losing any
participation points. After the third missed class, the
student will automatically lose 2 points for each class he/
she is absent. Students can also lose participation points
for the day if they are not actively participating in
discussions and activities.

Homework will not be given everyday. For that reason, it is

very important to complete and turn in the homework
assignments on time. There is not much wiggle room with
these points. If an assignment is turned in late, the highest
score that a student can receive on that specific
assignment is a 70%. Extensions must be discussed with
me in person or through email in advance.

100 PT S .

In this class, there will only be one multiple-choice,

traditional-style test. That test will be the final exam. All
other assignments will be projects based on the topics of
our current chapter. Students will receive some time to
work on projects in class, however additional work time
may be needed outside of class. Projects may be
presented in small groups, to the class, or just to me.
