AB KE HAM BICHHDE TO SHAYAD KABHI KHUABON MEN MILEN

PASSION, INTEGRITY & APNAPAN

Yesterday Pakistanis in Australia celebrated the Seniors week and hosted the
annual literary evening Matters of the Heart.
It was of immense sadness for participants and guests to know that Ms. Savitri
Goswami is not among us anymore. She passed away in late August. On behalf of
all of us in the Group we offer our sincere condolences to the family. She used to
travel between Sydney and Perth and will always attend our evening if she was
staying in Perth and mesmerized the audience with her beautiful writings.
In one of her books Dard key Faasle, she wrote that Qeemti logon ko bhulaana
apne Bas mein nahee hota True, it will be difficult to forget her and her
contribution towards literature and to the Indo Pak Community in Australia.
1. Lines from Pakistani poet, Ahmed Faraz meaning should we now be parted, in dreams we might be
found.
