MEASLES MEASLES IMMUNIZATION IN THE VILLAGE
OF KAMPUNG KELAPA PUSKESMAS PEMATANG
PANJANG KABUPATEN BATUBARA YEAR 2014

Immunization has always been associated with morbidity and mortality in
infants. This is because of immunization is an attempt to increase the body's
resistance to various diseases. Measles and prevention programs in Indonesia at
present at the stage of reduction with the control and prevention of Extraordinary
Events (KLB).
This study was conducted aimed to determine the relationship of maternal
knowledge about measles immunization infants with measles immunization in the
village of Kampung Kelapa Coal County Health Center Long Causeway Year
2014 survey research design was a cross sectional analytic approach with a total
population of 203 respondents and a sample of 67 respondents with saturated
sampling technique.
From the results of research conducted that the majority of mothers who
have children who are less knowledgeable many as 30 respondents (44.8%) with
measles immunization is still the majority are not given as many as 35 infants
(35.2%). And after the statistical test using the Chi-square test with a confidence
level of 95% with = 0.05 significance probability that the value of the toddler's
mother knowledge about measles immunization with measles immunization is sigp (0.000) < sig (0, 05). This proves that there is a significant relationship
between maternal knowledge about measles immunization infants with measles
immunization in the village of Kelapa Village Health Center 2014 Long
Causeway.
Expected Kelapa Village To Village Health Center Long Causeway to
further improve the quality of health services, especially in education about
measles immunization in infants and better monitor the list of cards to health
every toddler.
