About the Project


You will be working on a project supported by the Tata Trusts to work with community based organisations
in Alwar and build their capacity to take-up gender issues in their communities through a year long indepth engagement. The project aims to engage 200+ young people intensively through workshops as well
as reach 3000 community members through meetings and events. Local influencers at village level will also
be involved in this project.

People For Parity is a social change initiative that envisions a world with gender peace. It works with youth
and development organizations to enable non-violent dialogue within communities on transforming social
norms and beliefs that discriminate on the basis of gender and affect the human rights of community
members. We deeply imbibe values of empathy, restorative justice, inclusion and non-violence in our
programs and approach. Founded by IIT Delhi alumni and based in New Delhi, we are among the few social
enterprises in the country which works with issues concerning all genders.
We have transformed lives of over 400 at-risk youth and conducted gender education workshops with over
8,000 people, with expertise in designing curricula that enables reflection, understanding and action on
gender issues. We have also helped evolve the sensitivity of ~25 institutions like the police in 3 states. One
of five recipients of India Youth Fund 2014 (UN Habitat and Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation), we are also a
part of various youth organization networks - CYC Forum, Pravah Streaming Collective which connect us
with ~100 youth-led social change organizations across the country.
