ABSTRACT

At location of the activity mining plan block D Laronae PT. Indoberkah Jaya Mandiri,
identification of the spread of lateritic nickel done by making classification the spread of nickel
based on the value of nickel cut off grade (cog) > 1.7 %. With the result of the identification by
knowable potential mining area and can be done the design of progress mine with the limits
spread of nickel >1.7% measuring 7 hectares.
The calculation of reserve is to important to determine the amount of reserve and the quality of
reserve to do this the accounting simulation, The acquisition of the result calculation of reserve
period/month is adapted to the target of production where the target of production at least 30.000
ton/month, with the result of reserve amount for period_1 33,532 ton/month, period_2 39,551
ton/month, period_3 35,737 ton/month, period_4 31,521 ton/month, period_5 33,428 ton/month,
period_6 33,392 ton/month, period_7 34,878 ton/month, period_8 10,485 ton/month. The
amount of Tonase/Month had found then it can be estimated for age of mine block D Laronae
just for 8 Months.
The result of the design of progress mine in potential mining area influenced by the form and the
distribution of lateritic nickel deposit that spread around the area. Because of the form of lateritic
nickel deposit in some areas relatively different, then the result of the design of progress is
obtained relatively different. Slope and high slope on Pit progress will affect the vast openings
for determine the Ore of amount that can be taken and Overburden should to be moved. The Pit
progress on block D Laronae is made for 8periods/month with the same Slop that is 60 0 , Then
the vast opening is formed in the period 1 measuring 1,9 ha, period 2 measuring 1,5 ha, period 3
measuring 0,6 ha, period 4 measuring 0,9 ha, period 5 measuring 1,3 ha, period 6 measuring 1,4
ha, period 7 measuring 1,1 ha and period 8 measuring 0,19 ha.
