Case Study #3

The Next Big Fight for the Pro-Choice Movement:

Taxpayer-Funded Abortions.
The human being, by their nature, are greedy; they want to take more
than they should, thus caring more about personal interest. When it comes
to abortion, the human being does not change. The moral of abortion is not
taken into account when money is the subject they address. In the article,
Lee practically stated that if women want to an abortion, they should save
money for it, thing that it is not possible for a woman of low income; thus
having an abortion illegally or at a very late stage of the pregnancy where
the procedure not only is more complicated and expensive, but more
dangerous for the patient. In my opinion abortion should be a decision the
pregnant woman has to make, and no matter her social status, she should be
able to get it without any economical scar. I thought it was interesting how
the article talked about the economical view of abortion rather than the
morality or the reasons of abortion. They do not talk about if a woman has to
get an abortion because she was sexually assaulted, or about the
psychological damage on the woman; again, it is talked in a really objective,
insensitive way.
