Kaziranga National Park has been widely regarded


as a truly world-class park as it has the worlds highest
density of tigers (one every 5 km2), as well as being
the home of the worlds largest population of the
One-horned Rhinoceros and the Indian Wild Water
Buffalo. Nameri, on the other hand, is noted for
excellent birding and rafting opportunities.
Our walking safaris have been designed to allow
travellers to visit less-frequented areas thereby
ensuring exclusive wildlife viewing in undisturbed
surroundings. The program also includes jeep and
elephant rides in Kaziranga National Park, visits to
rural villages, and possibly even a boat safari in
search of the endangered Gangetic river dolphins.

Located in the Himalayan foothills, Manas National Park has a
large wild water buffalo population along with the Golden
Langur, Pygmy Hog and other endangered species. This tour is

by riverboat. Take a serene cruise on the ABN
Charaidew/Sukapha: return waves from excited village
children as your boat glides past sand banks on the
Brahmaputra river. If you are lucky, you may even be able to
spot a tiger on the sand banks - burning orange against the
grey of the banks. Disembark and trade your comfortable
riverboat for the luxurious Diphlu River Lodge at Kaziranga

Dibru-Saikhowa is home to over 500 species of
birds including the near-extinct Bengal Florican
and the rare White-rumped Vulture, making it a
prime birding spot. Set against snow-capped
peaks, various wren babblers and the Rustybellied Shortwing are regular residents of Roing
and the Mishmi Hills. Equally good for birding are
the Digboi Oil Fields that support over 180 bird
species. Conclude your birding tour in the
evergreen forests of Namdapha, home to around
400 bird species including five different Hornbill
species and the rare Snowythroated Babbler.

Start your journey at Ranthambore National Park famous for the Royal Bengal Tiger, this park also
offers great sightings of birds like the Black-rumped
Flameback, and the stunning Indian peafowl. Move
on to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary where you will be
able to witness specialties like the Sarus Crane and
Black-headed Ibis. Later, take a break from birding
and explore the Mughal ghost-city of Fatehpur Sikri
and the exquisite Taj Mahal. Continue on to Corbett
National Park where bird species like the Slatyheaded Parakeet have made this park their home.
The last leg of this tour takes us to the picturesque
hills of Nainital where more than 200 bird species
reside, and Okhla Bird Sanctuary where we will look
for the Striated Babbler and the Red Avadavat
among other species.

Arrive at Bhutans prettiest town, Paro, and commence


the tour with some introductory birding before heading
to Thimpu to search for Laughing Thrushes, Rosefinches
and Grosbeaks. Continue on to Punakha in pursuit of
bird species like the Yellow-billed Magpie and the Firetailed Myzornis, before heading on to Trongsa to spot
the Rusty-cheeked Scimitar Babbler and Rufous Bellied
Eagle.
The lower slopes of Bhutans mountains are clothed in
sub-tropical broad-leafed evergreen forests, and
consequently, are perfect for birding; look out for
beauties like the Grey-bellied Tesia and the Pin-tailed
Green Pigeon at Tingtibi. Conclude your birding tour
around the passes of Wangdue and Paro. This tour also
ensures that you do not miss out on Bhutans beautiful
dzongs and other major attractions.
