Balekambang Beach

The beach possessing three islands with distance of about one hundred meters each, two of
which have been connected with one meter-wide bridge to the shore, Balekambang offers a
different atmosphere of beach resorts in the Southern part of Malang. One of the three islands
called Ismoyo island has a Hindu temple, established by local Hinduists.
Annually, the ritual and traditional ceremonies Jalanidhipuja (Hindu ceremony) and Suran
(Javanese New Year ceremony) are held here every year. The parking area, stalls, inns,
souvenir shops, and the others tourism facilities has provided for the visitors. This beautiful
beach is located at Srigonco village, Bantur district, about 57 km away to the south from
Malang and accessible by public transportation.

Pantai Balekambang
Pantai memiliki tiga pulau dengan jarak sekitar seratus meter masing-masing , dua di
antaranya telah terhubung dengan satu jembatan meter-lebar ke pantai , Balekambang
menawarkan suasana yang berbeda dari resort pantai di bagian selatan Malang . Salah satu
dari tiga pulau yang disebut pulau Ismoyo memiliki candi Hindu , didirikan oleh Hinduists
lokal .
Setiap tahun , ritual dan upacara adat Jalanidhipuja ( Hindu upacara ) dan Suran ( Upacara
Tahun Baru Jawa ) diadakan di sini setiap tahun . Area parkir , warung , penginapan , tokotoko suvenir , dan fasilitas pariwisata lainnya telah disediakan untuk pengunjung . Pantai
indah ini terletak di Desa Srigonco , Kecamatan Bantur , sekitar 57 km jauhnya ke selatan
dari Malang dan dapat diakses oleh transportasi umum .

BROMO TENGGER SEMERU NATIONAL PARK

The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park
covers a massive area of 800 square
kilometres in the centre of East Java. For
anyone with an interest in volcanoes, a visit
to the park is a must. This is the largest
volcanic region in the province. Visit the park
and see the plumes of smoke coming from
Mt. Semeru, an active volcano which rises
3676 meters above sea level. Experience the
remarkable Tengger Caldera, Java's largest,
with its 10 km barren desert-like sea of sand. Within the caldera rise the deeply fissured
volcanic cones of Batok and Bromo, the latter is still active with a cavernous crater from
which smoke blows skyward. Temperatures at the top of Mount Bromo range about 5 to 18
degrees Celsius. To the south of the park is a rolling upland plateau dissected by valleys and
dotted with several small scenic lakes, extending to the foot of Mount Semeru.
The Tengger sandy area has been protected since 1919. This is believed to be the only
conservation area in Indonesia, and possibly the world which possesses a unique sand sea at
the attitude of about 2000 m above sea level. There are several mountains inside the caldera:
Mt Watangan (2,661 m asl). Mt Batok (2,470 m asl), Mt Kursi (2,581 asl), Mt Watangan
(2,661 m asl), and Mt Widadaren (2,650 m asl).
With beautiful scenery, easy access and visitor-oriented facilities, its no wonder that this one
of the most popular reserves in Java.

TAMAN NASIONAL BROMO TENGGER SEMERU

Bagi siapa pun yang memiliki kecintaan terhadap suasana gunung api, kunjungan ke taman
ini merupakan suatu keharusan. Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru meliputi area seluas
800 km persegi dan merupakan kawasan gunung berapi terbesar di provinsi Jawa Timur.
Mengunjungi taman ini dan melihat gumpalan asap keluar dari Gunung Semeru, gunung api
aktif yang berada 3676 meter di atas permukaan laut adalah pengalaman yang luar biasa
indah. Kaldera di taman ini merupakan yang terluas di pulau Jawa, dengan padang pasir
tandus seluas 10 km. Di lautan pasir ini ditemukan tujuh buah pusat letusan dalam dua jalur
yang silang-menyilang yaitu dari timur-barat dan timur laut-barat daya. Dari timur laut-barat
daya inilah muncul Gunung Bromo yang termasuk gunung api yang masih aktif nan
memukau.
Daerah Tengger yang berpasir telah dilindungi sejak tahun 1919. Diyakini sebagai satusatunya kawasan konservasi di Indonesia, dan mungkin di dunia yang memiliki pasir laut
yang unik sekitar 2000 m di atas permukaan laut. Ada beberapa gunung di dalam kaldera
Bromo ini seperti: Gunung Watangan (2.661 m dpl). Gunung Batok (2.470 m dpl), Gunung
Kursi (2.581 dpl), Watangan Gunung (2661 m dpl), dan Widadaren Gunung (2.650 m dpl).
Dengan pemandangan yang indah, akses yang mudah dan fasilitas cukup memadai, tidak
heran bahwa tempat ini merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata yang paling populer di Jawa.

PULAU SEMPU
Lupakan kenyamanan dunia modern saat memasuki kawasan hutan konservasi yang
menyembunyikan sebuah laguna nan memukau di Jawa Timur. Kawasan terpencil yang tenar
di kalangan wisatawan tersebut bernama Pulau Sempu. Lokasinya berada di pantai selatan
Kabupaten Malang dan secara administratif masuk Desa Tambak Rejo Desa, Kecamatan
Sumbermanjing Wetan.
Pulau Sempu berada tak jauh dari Pantai Sendang Biru. Dari Kota Malang, lokasinya sekira
80 kilometer dan dari ibu kota Jawa Timur, Surabaya jaraknya sekira 180 kilometer. Pulau
yang ditumbuhi pepohonan tropis seluas 877 hektar ini adalah cagar alam yang di kelola oleh
Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Jawa Timur (BBKSDA) dan Departemen Kehutanan
Indonesia. Secara resmi tempat ini diakui sebagai cagar budaya sejak 1928 pada masa
pemerintahan Hindia Belanda.
Daya tarik utama pulau kecil nan cantik ini adalah Laguna Segara Anakan yang terletak
sekira 2,5 km arah selatan pulau. Tersembunyi jauh di lingkar hutan tropis yang lebat, laguna
seluas sekira 4 hektar tersebut merupakan tempat yang menawan. Pantai berpasir putih
bertemu dengan birunya air yang tenang dan terpisah dari lautan lepas sebab dikelilingi
batuan karang. Air di Laguna Segara Anakan ini tenang dan karenanya merupakan tempat
yang sempurna untuk berenang. Dengan lokasinya yang terpencil dan jalur yang agak sulit
diakses, Segara Anakan menyuguhkan suasana intim dan privat.
Perjalanan menuju Sempu adalah petualangan yang menantang siapa saja yang ingin
menjamah Laguna Segara Anakan. Petualangan dimulai dengan menyeberangi selat dari
Pantai Sendang Biru menuju ke Teluk Semut (Ant Bay) di Pulau Sempu. Dari sini, perjalanan
dilanjutkan melalui jalur trekking selama sekira dua jam melalui hutan lebat dan melintasi
jalan curam dan terjal sebelum tiba di lokasi laguna. Meski jalur yang dilalui agak sulit dan
licin tetapi usaha menyaksikan keindahan yang ditawarkan laguna cantik yang tersembunyi
ini memang layak diperjuangkan. Apabila Anda membutuhkan kapal dan jasa pemandu untuk
menuju Pulau Sempu, Anda dapat mencarinya di daerah Pantai Sendang Biru.

SEMPU ISLAND NATURE RESERVE AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Situated on the south coast of Malang Regency
in East Java and administratively located in the
Tambak Rejo Village, Sumbermanjing Wetan Sub-District, this small island lies just off the
coast of Sendang Biru Beach, approximately 80 Km from Malang city or about 180 Km
from the capital of East Java, Surabaya. The 877 hectares forested island is a Nature Reserve
under the management of the Natural Resources Conservation Office of East Java
(BBKSDA) and the Ministry of Forestry of Indonesia, and was actually designated a Nature
Reserve since 1928 in the Dutch Colonial period.
Among the islands most fascinating features is the Segara Anakan lagoon located about
2.5Km further south into the island. Hidden deep beyond the thick tropical forest, the
approximately 4 hectares lagoon is truly a secluded paradise where a white sandy beach
meets calm blue waters separated from the raging tides of the open ocean by a picturesque
rocky wall surrounding the area. The incoming tides penetrate only through several caves
above and below the surface, thus the water inside the lagoon remains calm, and makes a
perfect place for swimming. Its secluded location also radiates a sense of intimacy, where the
beach becomes a private getaway, not unlike the setting for the 2000 Leonardo Di Caprios

Adventure awaits those who wish to explore Sempu Island and reach the Segara Anakan
Lagoon. Cross the straits from Sendang Biru Beach on the mainland to the Teluk Semut (Ant
Bay) at Sempu Island. From here, the journey continues over a trekking path for about two
hours through quite thick forest with several ascending and descending tracks, before one
reaches the secluded lagoon. While the trip may not be an easy walk, the grand price that
awaits at the finish line is more than just worth it. Boats and guide services are available at
the Sendang Biru Beach area.
