you and the College Leadership

inadequate
Learners have not made enough progress
to show anything different as yet

are very serious (Safeguarding for

individualised

Teaching, Learning and Assessment

Learners are keen to learn and succeed in most
lessons
Skills are developed in most practical classes
and workshops
Learning needs are identified swiftly and support
put in place
Most study programme learners know their
target grades and developing an awareness of
skills required for progression
Learners value the support they receive to help
them make progress
Self Assessment is largely accurate in
identifying weaknesses around TLA

PDBW
High level of respect and tolerance in many
classes
Enrichment programme impacts positively
on most learners
Adequate employers are involved
Active college provides a broad range of
sports activities
Impartial IAG is good
Student services and pastoral guidance is
effective

Leadership and Management

High level of confidence in the new leadership at
the College however, the new leadership is yet
to make an impact on quality of provision for
learners
Good financial health
Accurate assessment of strengths and
weaknesses
Strategic aims are now appropriately aligned
Recent developments (KPIs) are good
Lack of challenge at Governors level
Poor quality of data to affect progress and
decision making

Next steps
Main issues are:
Improving lesson planning and ensuring all
learners are making- and we are tracking
progress
Attendance has to improve
New Safeguarding action plan started
yesterday
Things within our power we must get on and do
We have a window of opportunity now and we
must grasp it

PIAP will be published next week. Most in

our current BIGs and QIP.
