RATIONALE

1. Unhealthy school environment leads to poor learning. Obstructions or

eyesores around the campus such as scattered and piled items,
clogged canal, unwanted plastics, weeds and trash, may result to
hazards and inconveniences to the entire community. House Keeping is
necessary to resolve these problems.
2. This project also complies, with P.D. 1151: Philippine Environmental
Policy, P.D. 856 also known as, School Sanitation and Health services
dated April 28 1998 and Republic act No. 9512 (Environmental
Awareness and Education Act of 2008) under the National
Environmental Education Action Plan (2009).
3. This NSTP Apostolate or project is one avenue where students can
exercise and share their sense of Mission to Transform and Beyond
Borders, and their four core values of COMPETENCE, CREATIVITY,
SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT and CHRISTAN SPIRIT.
4. Students are expected to apply and employ their knowledge, skills, and
attitudes to ensure the success of the project. It is hoped that this
exposure of students will help enrich their professional development,
and their Louisian Mission to Transform and Beyond Borders.

to observe the Code of Discipline and other performance and behavioral
guidelines specified in the SLU Student Manual and the NSTP Manual of
procedures and guidelines.
2. Strictly follow approved apostolate schedules and itinerary. Changes therein
should be presented to the Supervising Instructor (SI) for approval first before
any implementation.
3. Be reminded that attendance, tardiness and absences, are monitored during
the apostolate; concerned NSTP students are held accountable of their
attendance, tardiness and absences.
4. Always work as a team. The least number of students allowed to work on a
particular itinerary is two or one pair; in case of reservations and preparation
of materials, no one is allowed to go on an apostolate individually. No
loitering or leaving the apostolate area without company and without the
approval from the SI o team leader.
5. Keep in mind to do proper documentation of your apostolate. Take picture
(before, during & after) of your apostolate activities and other necessary

ensured. The SI should monitor the students by means of direct contact or
communication with his / her supervisory students in their apostolate while
