Sejarah
Sejarah pendirian Grup Argo Manunggal diawali sejak tahun 1949 oleh Bapak The Ning King
yang berawal dari sebuah perusahaan kecil di bidang tekstil.
Di tahun 1961, Bapak The mendirikan pabrik tekstilnya yang pertama di Salatiga,
Jawa Tengah. Dibawah kepemimpinannya kelompok usaha ini berkembang ke sektor industri

maupun luar negeri. Awal keterlibatan Grup Argo
Manunggal di bidang tekstil dimulai pada tahun 1961
dengan berdirinya PT Daya Manunggal di Salatiga,
Jawa Tengah. Perusahaan ini mulai beroperasi dengan
200 mesin tenun, yang memproduksi kain Grey.
Di tahun 1969 usaha ini dikembangkan dengan

memasuki bidang pencelupan dan pencetakan kain yang
sejalan dengan isi perusahaan yang ingin menjadi pelaku
industri tekstil terkemuka di Indonesia. Di tahun 1973,
kelompok ini melalui PT Dharma Manunggal, Tangerang Banten, mulai memproduksi benang dengan
kapasitas 30.000 mata pintal dengan bantuan teknis
dari Kurabo - Jepang.
Saat ini, Divisi tekstil Grup Argo Manunggal meliputi
lebih dari 20 perusahaan yang terlibat dalam pembuatan
serat polyester, pemintalan, pertenunan, pencelupan dan
pencetakan untuk menghasilkan benang, tekstil
dan garmen bermutu tinggi. Pesatnya pertumbuhan
perusahaan kami di sektor tekstil dapat dikaitkan
dengan komitmen kami yang konsisten terhadap kualitas,

TEXTILE
The Argo Manunggal Group is one of Indonesias foremost

textile manufactures, producing several million pounds
of yarn, several million yards of fabric and several
hundred thousand garments each week. Argo Manunggal
will maintain its cutting edge by emphasising product quality,
quick response and service.
The textile industry plays a vital role in national
development, as the demand for textiles is constantly rising
in both local and export markets. Argo Manunggal
is one of the biggest textile producers in Indonesia.
The Groups involvement in textiles began in 1961, with
the establishment of PT Daya Manunggal at Salatiga,
Central Java. The company started with 200 looms
producing greige fabrics. In 1969, it commenced the dyeing
and printing of these fabrics in line with the Groups vision
to be a prominent player in the textile industry. In 1973, the
Group began yarn production at PT Dharma
Manunggal, Tangerang - Banten with the technical
assistance of Kurabo - Japan. The company started with
a capacity of 30,000 spindles.
At present, the Argo Manunggal Group textile division

comprises more than 20 companies, involved in fibre
manufacturing, spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing and
printing to produce high-quality yarns, textiles and garments.
Our rapid growth in textiles can be attributed to an ongoing
commitment to quality, delivery and competitive pricing.
Weve proven we can meet our customers needs, whether
off the shelf or custom made to requirement. Through our
strength, flexibility, ample resources and the adoption of
the latest technology, Argo Manunggal is able to provide
significant cost benefits to our customers without sacrificing
product quality or delivery.
From the inspection of individual cotton bales, through to
final fabric and dispatch, a comprehensive quality-control
process is conducted. Attention to detail is a key element in
meeting the criteria required to surpass the highestquality classifications in the world market. The quality of
our products, whether dyed and printed fabric or denim,
is evident with international brands such as Levis,
Marks and Spencer being the end user. Argo Manunggal
currently meets much of Indonesias domestic yarn
requirements, as well as supplying fabrics to local garment
manufacturers. The export of yarn and fabric has increased
significantly in recent times. The integrated approach of our
organization is best demonstrated by our recent venture
into garment production, with the garment manufacturing
companies producing knitted garments for Lacoste, Wrangler
Jeans and Polo by Ralph Lauren using fabrics supplied by
the Groups own textile division.

the steel industry by building an iron sheet factory
in a joint venture with a Japanese firm, and then expanding
into steel melting facilities.
Today, the local demand for our quality steel products is

The steel factories division is fully integrated within the
Group, ensuring optimum efficiency through every process
from billet manufacture to rolling mill.

Sari ( Serang Banten) dengan luas +/- 150HA dan lahan
di peternakan Ayam Manggis Sukabumi dengan luas
+/- 125HA, PT. Pelikan Makmur Abadi akan menanami
lahan tersebut dengan bibit jati yang diprediksikan akan
dipanen setelah berumur 5-7 tahun.
Penanaman selanjut nya akan diputuskan setelah proyek

penanaman yang pertama selesai.
Jumlah bibit jati yang dapat ditanami pada lahan seluas

1 HA sangat bervariasi, hal ini dikarenakan ditentukan
menurut jarak tiap-tiap pohon sbb :
Jarak 2 X 2 m = 2500 pohon dalam 1 HA
Jarak 3 X 3 m = 1100 pohon dalam 1 HA
Jarak 2 X 2,5 m = 2000 pohon dalam 1 HA
Selain telah memiliki SDM untuk mengelolah

perkebunan/ pertanian, Perusahaan juga bekerjasama
dengan lembaga milik pemerintah yang bergerak dalam
pertanian/ perkebunan/ pertanian.
Saat ini mengerjakan proses penanaman pohon jati

di lokasi Gunung Sari dengan lahan seluas 10 HA dengan
jarak 2 X 2 m untuk sejumlah 25.000 bibit jati,
dan akan selesai ditanami pada pertengahan Februari
2015 ( dimulai aktif sejak 11 januari 2015).
Direncanakan pada lahan tersebut juga akan ditanami

dengan tanaman tumpang sari disela-sela pohon jati
dengan tanaman yang memiliki nilai ekonomis seperti
diantaranya tanaman Jahe.

be completed by mid- February 2015 ( starting active since
11 January 2015 ) .
