Teaching the lesson on the mat (30 minutes)

Greeting children:
I will start with the rule song routine. Before children sit on the mat, we will sing the rules song of being quiet in
during the lesson. The children and I will be standing up doing it then sit down with crossing legs.

Counting the students:


I will let the helping hand to count the children. Then, I will ask them about the number of children who are
absent.

Reading Quran:
I will read Quran. Children will repeat after me.

3 minutes

Review the previous lesson:


I will put different card on the mat. I will choose some children to come in front of the class. I will ask them to
jump on the previous numbers that they took it before such as 13,12,14,15,16 and 17.

Warming up for the new number:


I will tell the children a story using the PowerPoint which introduce the new number which is 18.

Counting activity:
I will bring some objects that children can touch to count such as pencils and cubs.

Clapping game:
I will show children a different number on the PowerPoint. Some of these numbers are 18 and others are
different numbers that they took it before. I will ask them to clap their hand once they see the number 18. If they
saw a different number, they have to freeze.

Writing the number 18:


I will give all students board and marker. I will first show the children the steps of writing the letter. Then, I will let
them to write it on the board.

Sequence of activities ( 30 minutes)


Activity time: At 9:15AM, all students will do the activities. Students will be divided into 4 groups. One group will
do math activity with me. The others groups will be divvied to apply English and Arabic activities.

Math activity:
I will give children a worksheet which include a space for writing the number 18. Also, in the worksheet, there will
be box which children have to make the number 18 using clay in that box in the worksheet.

Evaluation:
In the end of the class lesson, I will give children a worksheet which include different numbers. They have to color
the number 18 instead of coloring all the numbers.
