The Dissertation titled Linguistic Interference in Translation was
submitted for the degree MA in Linguistics at the University of
Kelaniya. The aim of the research was to provide a comprehensive
analysis of the occurrence of interference in students translations,
based on their translations from Sinhala to English. The findings of the
research through analysis and classification of interferences can be
useful for effective translation training.
