Do you think the consumer should avoid over packed products or it is responsibility of the producer to
avoid extra packaging of products?
These days there is a controversy over whether it is the responsibility of the consumer to avoid over packaged
products. Some people claim the producer should be held responsible for this matter. In this essay, both sides of the
contentious issue will be put under scrutiny.
To begin with, over packaging ensure that people can buy and use product whenever they want to, in good condition
and with little wastage. Over packaging protect the product from getting infected by bacteria. It also provides longer
shelf life for a product or safe transportation to the end consumer.
Secondly, over packaging raises the cost of the product and is procured from the consumer. The consumer is
concerned only about the quality and price of the products. Over packaging also help the producer to hide their
product flaws and make it attractive so that it appears fascinating to the customer to increase their sales. On the other
hand, for packaging paper and polythene is used which completely effect the environment as paper is obtained from
trees leads to deforestation and polythene cause several bad impacts on human health.
Lastly, analyzing both sides, it is evident that over packaging has a negative impact and my opinion is that its the
only producer who is benefitted from this. I recommend that it is producer responsibility to avoid extra packaging.
2. Pros/cons of this era as it is full of daily invention.
In todays world there is significant technological advancement in all sectors. These inventions helps human in their
tasks and make their life easier. Technological advancement shows people a more effective way to do things without
error and there are number of pros of these new inventions.
In the education sector computer is playing a pivotal role for their studies. Students are able to learn on a global scale
without leaving their classrooms. Agriculture processes that require dozen upon dozen human workers can now be
automated which means cost efficiencies for farmers. On the other hand, medical discoveries occurs at much more
rapid rate, thanks to machines and computers that aid in the research process. With the advancement in technology,
one can book his air ticket, movie ticket in just one click from mobile.
These invention helps us to connect to the people around the world through social sites without physical interaction.
Television, computer on the other hand, serves the purpose of entertainment like playing videogames, watching
movies, listening, music etc.
Finally, there are number of inventions in last 100 years that have changed our life a lot and made it a better place.
Among them computer is the best invention out of all and is used in every sector.
3.

In the past 100 years, there are many inventions such as antibiotics, airplanes, and computer. What do you
think is the most important invent for the past 100 years? Why?

In todays world there is significant technological advancement in all sectors. When we think about technology, the
first thing come to our mind is the image of a computer. Computer are invented to help human and make their life
easier. They have replaced manual system which are really beneficial and removed human error. For example record
of workers, bills, etc. thus saves time.
Computer has a multipurpose feature enables us to work efficiently and quickly. For example, mathematical
calculations, the only thing we have to do is provide information. Computer can display stored information and helps
you to manipulate stored information. Second example is that in education sector students can learn on a global scale
without leaving the classrooms. It is also used for other purpose like videogames, music, designing, chatting,
internet surfing, etc. On the other hand, medical discoveries occurs at much more rapid rate, thanks to machines and
computers that aid in the research process.
Despite, there are number of pros of computer it has cons too. The excessive use of computer for entertainment
purpose tends to slow mental growth of the children. With the advancement we are completely computer dependent,

in case of breakdown or failure we become disabled until the problem is solved.

To conclude computer is the best invention out of all and is used in every sector. Yet there are some disadvantages it
is the invention that has change the way of our living.

Large shopping malls are replacing small shops. What is your opinion about this? Discuss with appropriate
examples.
It is true to consider that present world is becoming a global village. Therefore, people are motivated to buy their
necessities from the competitive market. As a result, a great number of shopping malls have established in the past
two decades in almost all cities. The moot question is whether this replacement is good or bad. In this essay, I shall
explain my point of view by analyzing both sides of the argument.
There are numerous advantages of shopping mall. Firstly, there are number of brands and shops at one stop. For
example cloths, groceries, bank, food court, cafs, etc. under single roof. Secondly, it saves a lot of time as people
do not need to roam here and there for different products. The environment in the shopping mall is far much better
than small shops. In addition to this shopping mall has proper security so risk of crime is very less.
Nevertheless, there are disadvantages too. Buying a product from supermarket leads to lose local identity. As the
crowd in the supermarket is very large, parking problem remains there especially on weekends. The price in the
shopping mall are reasonable and people end up purchasing more than they need.
At last, there is strong argument on both sides and shopping mall has a positive and negative effect. I strongly
recommend shopping mall should be there. Despite its negative impact on society, its advantages outweigh
disadvantages and it is modern way which we should adopt.

Pros and cons of the extreme sports.

Earlier, adventure sports are limited to defense purpose, but now due to advancement in technology these are easily
accessible by common man. These activities are taken at high altitude, high speed. It is agreed that these activities
require daring. There are benefits and drawbacks of adventure sports.
Firstly, people get bored doing the same job working as a robot in routine, so they need some change and excitement
to release their stress. Sports are always a best way to release our stress, but these days adventure sports are very
popular in the last decade. These sports help to build self-confidence, self-reliance, work as a team, etc. Sometimes,
these sports are played by people to overcome their fear.
Secondly, if we talk about drawbacks people play these games to show off and to become a celebrity, the greed of
fame is also a major factor in playing these games and to become famous they risk their lives. For example, in car
racing, cars are driven at high speed and a little mistake can put your life to an end. The study shows that maximum
number of lives are gone during back country snowboarding.
To conclude, it is agreed that adventure sports have a number of benefits, but these benefits can cost our lives. So
my opinion is that, before playing these games proper training should be taken and must be tried under the guidance
and supervision of a guide

In educa on system, assessment through wri en formal examina on is valid or not.

Formal examination is used widely as assessment criteria to check students performance by every educational
institute for decades. The moot question is whether written formal assessment is valid or not.
Evaluation through formal examination always remains a controversial issue around the world. Some people believe
student performance can be checked through regular checking of assignment and project work. On the other hand,
some believe written formal examination is the best way to check student abilities. This can be proved by analyzing
the fact that assignment and project work can be copied.

Firstly, the work submitted are not always done by them. A study of the educational department of India proved that
parents help students to complete their assignments and project work. Moreover, assignments and project works are
copied a day before the submission date. Thus it is not a reliable method to judge the students capabilities.
Secondly, the written formal examination are conducted in the presence of the invigilator, so the chance of cheating
is eliminated. This exam helps us to judge what student have learned and their memorizing capabilities can be judged
based on what he has written in his exam.
To conclude, looking at the discussion it is clear that formal examination is advantageous over disadvantages. My
opinion is that a formal written examination should be followed around the globe.

Nowadays, TV has become an essential part of life. Medium to spread news and awareness and for some,
it acts as a companion. What is your opinion about this?

From past two decades, TV has developed a lot and now we have 3D TV, curved TV, etc. In fact, it is very
difficult to see any family without watching TV. It has now become a part of their life. It is a small world to
live by making all sorts of shows, latest news, and information on all areas via a wide range of channels.
Television provides a wide range of channels to choose from, on Tourism, lifestyle, history, music, movies,
cooking, reality shows, news, and many more. The information from the channel can be used by people to
choose their holiday destination, learning new dishes recipes, aware of all happening around them. For many
of them TV is the best friend who is always there when needed.
On the other hand, TV is a great time waster. It glue you to sit instead of allowing to go out. It restricts us from
our physical activities like football, cricket, walk, etc. The more we watch TV, the more we become lazier.
When the families sit at dinner, instead of giving time to each other they keep on watching TV which leads the
communication gap between them. Adults at their learning age and physical development age keen on
watching TV which harm their health and future.
To conclude, excess of everything is bad. My opinion is to watch TV in limit and use it to gain knowledge.

The information revolution has changed the way of mass communication and had some negative and
positive effect on individuals lives as well as on society. To what extent you agree or disagree?
OR

Communication has changed significantly in the last 10 years. Discuss the positive and negative impacts of this
change
OR
Positive or negative effects of todays communication.

Information technology has brought the world close together and made it a global village. Now we can not only
share the information quickly and efficiently, but we can also bring down barriers of linguistic and geographical
boundaries. Communication has also become cheaper, quicker and more efficient. This essay will discuss pros and
cons of mass communication on individuals life before delivering conclusion.
To begin, technology has drastically changed the way of communication. Now, with the help of smartphones we can
communicate anyone around the world by just sending text message or sending them an email for an instantaneous
response In addition, we can do video confrence with the help of internet. For instance, software like skype is used
to communicate and video confrencing. In addition it can be used by students for getting lecture online. This will
helps students to save their travelling time.

On the other hand, people believes that information revolution has decreased privacy. They claim that their personal
information can be stolen and misused by someone. Furthermore, traditional culture of many countries are changing
people from undeveloped countires start copying tradition of developed countries and they stop giving respect to
their own culture. Lastly, the information on internet is in english language, people start learning english and their
own language start losing its own identity.
To recapitulate, i pen down saying that, mass communication has a tremendous benefits for all of us. But we should
keep on mind that every garden has some weeds, so government should create some laws to handle negetive side of
communication.

9. The influence of MASS MEDIA on peoples life

The influence of media on our life is very powerful. People of different ages follow and use them, such as television,
newspaper and the internet have become more popular among individuals. The moot question is that whether the
influence of mass media on shaping our life is a controversial issue. One group of people believes, that mass media
has no effect on peoples life, while the other group claimed that mass media has a powerful influence. I personally
agree with the latter group.
Firstly, many of us start our day with newspaper and we trust the information received from the media. For example,
during World War 2, Hitler uses the German media to spread false news about cruel act on German in other
countries, to mentally prepare everyone in Germany to gear up for war.
Secondly, most of us never prime minister or president, but anyone who is regularly exposed to news do have a
viewpoint about them. When it comes to cast our vote, we will make decisions based on how the media portray the
candidate. For example, in India, in the election for prime minister media portray Narender Modi as a person whose
motivate is to develop his country.
In conclusion, I believe media is having a great impact on peoples mind. Hence it is equally important to ensure
freedom of media and publication of unbiased news.

10. The environment we are living in is in danger due to various problems. So who do you think is responsible
for saving it? Is it the government, organization, or and individual?
OR
Climate change and about the roles that government, corporate, individuals can play to improve it.
For the past two decades, there is a major shift in the climate condition of the earth. This shift occurs due to the
emission of carbon dioxide, which traps the heat from the sun resulting in the rise of earth temperature. This is the
duty of government, companies and individuals to reduce the carbon dioxide emission to save the planet. In this
essay role of each party is elaborated.
First as individuals, we must reduce the amount of heat trapping emission we are putting to the atmosphere. For
example, use of public transport instead of car or bike to commute to office regularly can save our money and reduce
carbon dioxide emission.
Second as companies, companies have to decide an alternative to carbon dioxide emission source. For example, how
to produce the electricity, and other goods and services with less carbon dioxide emission.
Third and last to address the threat of global warming and we must demand our elected leaders to support renewable
resources such as solar energy and transform our energy to cleaner one. Place the limitation on the amount of carbon
dioxide emission by the industries and have to place a subsidy to for the equipment at carbon dioxide emission.

Finally concluded, it is the responsibility of each party to control the global warming to give a better future for our
next generation.

11. Company top level authorities should or should not take employee suggestion or ideas to take any decision.
Discuss.
It is a true fact to consider that todays world has become a global village. Due to this reasons business has to face
huge competition to catch up highly competitive market. For the success of the company decision making is a crucial
step and the solid foundation of any successful company is its employees. The moot question is that whether the
involvement of the employee is required for decision making or not. In this essay, I shall explain my point of view
by analyzing both sides of the argument.
Firstly, those who are in favor of the employees involvement see it as an important parameter. They claim that job
experience could be a significant factor in decision making. For example, food processing industry, has been divided
into a number of sectors, such as harvesting, cultivating, etc. and to take decision appropriate employee is engaged in
decision making. The involvement of employee in decision making creates a positive impression and inspire them to
work better. The employee starts feeling as a part of company and their output increase significantly.
One the other hand, people who disagree to involve employee in the decision making process claims that employees
suggestion or ideas for their personal interests. It will deteriorate the goals and objectives and may diminish profit
and growth. So management should take a decision on their own.
In conclusion, the employee empowerment will accelerate the business productivity and saves time, but if the
decision is made in the wrong direction the organizations future will be in danger.

12. It is argued that getting married before finishing school or getting job is not a good choice. To what extent
do you agree or disagree.
These days there is an ongoing debate between people about getting married before finishing school or getting a job
is a good choice or not. I would like to advocate that getting married later is a much better option as one can focus
on his career. There are a number of disadvantages to getting married while still a student.
To begin with, marriage is a huge responsibility and one should be prepared for all the challenges associated with it.
Children going to school are physically, mentally and emotionally not fit to face the difficulties of this relationship.
Early marriage can create a great problem when you are completely dependent on your parents to support you.
Financial problem could lead you to live a poor quality of living which causes depression and frustration.
Another reason is the time constraint, balancing time at home and school is the major problem as every work is
important. Moreover pregnancies at the early age is life threatening to mother as well as children. If we talk about
studies the grades drop down due to added responsibility.
To conclude, I believe that education and the financial security make an individual truly eligible for marriage. These
two factors are desirable to live healthy and desirable life.
NOTE: A person may have to travel different locations if spouse is dependent it can be tough to be flexible to serve demand of workplace.
Considerable amount of time to study gives good grades.

13. Many people think region affect successful persons. What is your opinion about native regions and
accomplished person influence on the region they belong to?
OR
Do you think that place where the person grew has an influence on his accomplishments? Explain with example.
Many people argue that the success of an individual depends upon the environment in which he or she has grown
up. In my opinion, it is not only the native region that influence the success of the person but also person attitude,

capability and determination also plays a vital role in the success of an individual.
Native environment plays an important role in implanting traits such as leadership, social skill, behavior, etc. These
qualities are acquired by an individual in a long period. The behavior in the neighborhood, school friends, college
friends significantly affect behavior and skill of the person. For example, Mahatma Gandhi who is a great Indian
leader received most of leadership qualities from his childhood friends.
On the other hand, native environment is one of the many factors responsible for the development of an individual
and his success. I believe that in achieving success factors such as determination, clear vision, discipline, motivation
and hard work are equally important in achieving success. Moreover, people who have marked themselves as an
example for others have burnt their night oil to reach a desired positions. To illustrate, people like, Bill Gates, APJ
Abdul Kalam, and Tata Ratna are the perfect example who become successful in their respective fields.
To conclude, only native environment is not behind individual success but there are other factors that are equally
important to achieve success.

14. Some people believes laws change human behavior. Do you agree with it?
Laws are made by government to ensure peace and harmony among the people. It helps in smooth
functioning of the nation by governing the behavior of the people. The moot question is whether laws
change human behavior or not. My opinion is laws does not change human behavior but can assist in
creating a disciplined environment for the society and controlling the crime to some extent.
Firstly, imposing laws has created sense of fear among people of getting punished. For instance, damaging
historical monuments, books, sculptures, paintings or other form of art is considered as crime and is
punishable. These example shows that a person with moral responsibility will take care of these assets but a
person who dont care about these assets will deface the consequences. Thus, we can say that human
actions can be regulated by laws but cannot be changed completely.
In addition, in our day to day life, we follow rules without even realizing them. Traffic law is an example of
this. Today, all of us follow traffic signals out of habit. We stop at red light and on green we move. Thus we
can say laws changes the human behavior to some extent.
In conclusion, we can say that rules and regulation can help in controlling the behavior that is dangerous
and helps to maintain peace and harmony among the people.

15. Parents should be held legally responsible for their childrens acts. What is your opinion? Support it with
