QUESTION FOUR
Karabo is a fresh law graduate from the University of Botswana. His graduation
ceremony was attended by his friends and family and his favourite lawyer in town Mr
Ford. The subsequent week Karabo decided to go to Mr Fords office to thank him for
making time in his busy schedule to go for his graduation. During their discussions, Mr
Ford asks Karabo to quickly rush to the High Court to submit important documents for
him. When Karabo returned from court, Mr Ford gave him another task to consult a
client because he had to rush to the bank. Karabo decided to keep going to Mr Fords
law firm on a daily basis for a month. At the end of the month, he demanded payment
for the services he had been doing for Mr Ford. Mr Ford blatantly refused and asked
Karabo to never come to his offices again because he had thought he was like a son
to him not an opportunist.
Karabo is aggrieved and comes to you for assistance. Advise him. [15]

QUESTION FIVE
Matshelo had been thinking about selling his car to his cousin Gosego. He casually
mentions it over dinner and they both just laugh and continue to have a good time.
The next day Gosego approaches her bank for a loan and as soon as she receives
the funds she goes to see Matshelo, hands over an envelope with the money and asks
for the car keys. Matshelo tries to return the money but Gosego insists that he had
offered her the car and she has accepted.
With the aid of relevant authorities, advise the parties. [15]
