States of Matter Article Summary

The sun is the hottest thing in the universe. It is the source of all the states of matter in
which it heats a solid so it turns into liquid. Therefore, a liquid when heated, turns into a gas and
a gas turns into plasma when its heated. When the gas is heated though, its atoms break apart
into charged particles which then turns the gas into plasma. The suns plasma is extremely hot,
and its charged particles can break through the suns gravity and go into space. This plasma is
called the solar wind, and with that comes the suns magnetic field which goes all the way to
Neptune, Pluto, and other atmospheres.
