THBT Internet Brings More Harm Than Good.

For the first speaker (1+)

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen.
Thank you for the time given to me.
I'm standing here as the first speaker of the affirmative team.
But firstly, I'd like to define our motion today which is THBT Internet brings more
harm than good.
The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use
the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to link several billion devices
worldwide. It is an international network of networks that consists of millions of
private, public, academic, business, and government packet switched networks,
linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless, and optical networking
technologies. The Internet carries an extensive range of information resources
and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents and applications of
the World Wide Web (WWW), the infrastructure to support email, and peer-topeer networks for file sharing and telephony.
Harm that mean endanger,the occurrence of a change for the worse, the act of damaging

something or someone Injury,hurt, or damage

So our motion today means The internet can harm people who use it , In
the sense through the negative impact. Because there a lot of negative
impact of internet.
Then, we limit our argument especially only for student at Senior high
school.
Before our team deliver the arguments, let me introduce my team,
I'm as the first speaker of the affirmative team will talk about from Social
point of view.
........ as the second speaker will give the argument from Health point of
view.
And ............. as the third speaker will support the motion from Social and
health point of view.
Now, I'll talk from social point of view.
Internet has a lot of negative impact for the student, especially in the
social, Example, student who are addicted with the internet will have an
impact on personality. Like Social behavior deviates, Decrease school
performance, Always lie and cheating,Ditching school, and Make students
lazy, Also, Internet make students addicted to the internet. They cant
stop browsing, they are hooked on gaming and they spend too much time
indoors. Instead of going out for a walk or play outside, they sit behind
their computers for hours. A sad consequence of the addiction is that they

are so used to high speed information by just clicking on the next link that
they can no longer appreciate a good book, or a nice conversation with a
friend. By failing to take exercise they grow fat and unhealthy. Their family
life suffers and their only relationships are online,they cant cope in the
real world. Students can access freely sites which can only be accessed by
adults. Like Pornography Sites and Gambling sites. SO WE ABSOLUTELY
AGREE THAT THE INTERNET BRINGS MORE HARM THAN GOOD

But first, I'll rebut what has been said by the first speaker from the negative
team. He/ She said that ....................... It's not true. I believe that .......................
Now I'll talk from health point of view.
In this era of globalization, the internet can not be far from human life. Almost
every person in the various countries use Facebook as their identity in
cyberspace. Here we summarize the 5 Diseases caused by the Internet on
student.
1. Headach (hedect)
There are 3 types of headache that may result from the Internet:
Tension Headaches - Headaches are not caused by stress, but often caused by
neck or eye strain. This type of headache can last between 30 minutes to one
week ".
Chronic daily headache - you suffer from this if you have a headache more than
half the days in a month.
Stress Headaches - Headaches more strikes the mind and the soul, the disease is
caused by a sense of disappointment to all of the internet as long as the
connection, viruses, and other downloads.
2. Low Back Pain
This disease has been common among internet users who sit for hours in front of
the monitor.
3. Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
Deep Vein Thrombosis is a disease caused by blood clots in the veins inside. The

disease is also known as economy class syndrome, blood clots in the veins
caused by blood flow is not smooth.
4. Munchausen Syndrome
Munchausen Syndrome is a syndrome that affects many young people in
cyberspace. The disease is not dangerous but it is quite disturbing. This
syndrome is the feeling of a young man who pretended to be sick and get in
trouble just to get the attention of others.

5. Depression Due to Facebook

Facebook is a social networking site that is fun, but not all people think so.
Facebook it can lead to negative effects such as depression. Generally
depression experienced by patients because they do not feel confident about her
appearance after a few negative comments about him.

Now I'll support argument from social and health point of view.
In indonesia , As many as 98 percent of students claim know about the internet
and 79 percent of them are Internet users. because of less of care from they parents,

Students can do illegal like Carding and the most is gambling. Students too can use other
profile at internet, make them confident, In universal , Internet have bad impact is:
-Reduce the social nature of man because it tends to prefer to connect via the
Internet rather than meet in person (face to face).
- the social nature of change can lead to changes in the patterns of community
interaction.
-Crimes like cheating and stealing can be done on the internet (also growing
crime).
-Can make a person addicted, especially those involving pornography and can
spend the money because the addiction only to serve.
Also indonesia student who has been addicted internet mostly have poor health,
and disease that usually attack student is ,Eyestrain,Discomgoogolation ,
Igosurfing and many others.

So we absolutely agree that THE INTERNET BRINGS MORE HARM THAN
