THERMAL TURBO MACHINERY

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

To understand the various systems, principles, operations and applications of different types
of turbo machinery components.

COURSE OUTCOMES:

At the end of the course, students will be able to


CO 1: Identify the thermal turbo machines with their functional parameters
CO 2: Select and design centrifugal fans and blowers.
CO 3: Analyze the performance of centrifugal compressors and blowers
CO 4: Analyze the performance of axial compressors and blowers
CO 5: Analyze the performance characteristics of axial flow turbines
CO 6: Analyze the performance characteristics of Radial flow turbines and wind
turbines
