My Fiends,
HIV-AIDS is dangerous and it hasn't got any cure yet. But what is actually HIV-AIDS?
We are often confuse to differentiate between HIV and AIDS. HIV and AIDS actually refers to
different things. HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus is one type of virus that weakens the
immune system of human body. People who infected by HIV will be vulnerable to disease
because their immune system is weak. While AIDS or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome
is the symptoms and infections caused by damaged immune system as a result of HIV infection.
HIV refers to the name of a virus and AIDS refers to the name of symptoms caused by HIV.
HIV only survive on four of our bodily fluid. They are blood, semen, vaginal fluid and
breast milk. So, in the saliva, sweat, tear, urine and feces are there ?
My Friends,
The virus can spread by unprotected sex, sharing needles, mother to child transmission and
thorough a transfusion.
Unprotected seks
The most prevalent risk factor for HIV is having unprotected seks with some one who
were infected the virus
Sharing needles
You are also at risk for becoming HIV positif if you use intravenous drugs
Mother to child transmission
An infected pregnant mother can give HIV to her unborn child through the placenta or
exposure of this childs mucous to the virus during birth
Through a transfusion
Exposure by infected blood product through transfusion is possible. However Indonesian
Red Cross Society has stringent mechanism in place to prevent contaminated blood from
entering blood banks. Transmission through blood transfusion is now an extremely rare
occurrence.
Again, HIV-AIDS is dangerous and it hasn't got any cure yet. So, what should we do?
The only thing we should avoid the bad behaviors that lead us to HIV-AIDS such as free sex and
drugs.
Actually by doing good behavior as it has been taught by our religion, will help us to avoid HIVAIDS. Free sex and drugs are considered as heavy sin in our religion. By avoiding those
behaviors, it will automatically spare us from HIV-AIDS.
Not much I can say today, thank you very much for your attention. Hopefully, this speech
will re-open our perspective towards HIV-AIDS and make us more aware of the dangers of HIVAIDS. Thank you.
PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE ESPECIALLY SOMETHING HAS NO CURE
