Vernica Pedrero, the Guide of the Dreams

If you have built some castles in the air, your work does not get lost; now its time to put the
bases under them. This phrase was made by George Bernard Shaw (Irish Writer), in which
we got inspired to be able to create this Interview to Vernica Pedrero, the Academic
Director of all the Campuses from the Metropolitan Zone of Mexico City owned by the
Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Monterrey. She studied the major called
Computacional Administrative Systems here at Technological Institute of Higher Studies of
Monterrey, Mexicos State Campus, where nowadays she develops her profession. What we
can say about her accomplishments is that, perhaps, sometimes someone can be passing
some difficult moments, but that is not an excuse to fall down. We have to bring up our
braveness and our intelligence because if we do not use those cards correctly, we can fall in
a deep and dark hole that is full of problems. Once we have already understood our
problems, we need to struggle with the best of our hearts to get our dreams come true.
CHARACTER AND ACHIEVEMENTS
She has had so many different achievements in her work life among the years. This period
of her life has taught her to overpass her problems and difficulties. She is in charge of all the
academic services for professional and high school programs, librarys academic resources
and take the important decisions related to the laboratorys specialized spaces. What she
loves the most is training teachers because of the benefit of having a more efficient
education and individual development for teachers and students. She is also in charge in the
organization of social service. One of her most heavy responsibilities is being the guide of
administrative and academic departments, guiding them with management of indicators for
decision-making and working at the area of life and career where she supports students with
working opportunities for job applications. Furthermore, the school counts with her
contribution at the accreditation of academic programs to national and international bodies.
DIFFICULTIES
Some of the main problems she has had through her job is the conformation of working
teams. She said that what matter the most is the aptitude. The person can be well prepared,
but if she/he does not have the aptitude; it does not work. What she did to solve those kind

of problems was to find out the good and the positiveness in people. They can be
empathetic and get involved into their jobs. She also thinks that imposition and
authoritarianisms bring nothing good and no happy endings. You can not reach your goal if
you are not empathic and patient
DREAMS.
She suggests that students can reach their goals by identifying what they want to be. She
thinks that the decisions are pretty close related to the way students advance and reach their
goals. They must have the opportunity of deciding and realizing what they want to be. We
have to considerate that never is too late to do the things we really want. If we do not feel
comfortable in some place, we have to move forward to somewhere we feel happy and
complete. We should follow what we want and turn our dreams into facts that can become
them true.
LEARNED
She had learned through the years that If I see clearly where I want to go and that fact
makes me happy, I will follow it, until I reach it. She knows that the path may be difficult, but
the time she could spend by complaining can be used to plan their achievement.
ANECDOTE:
The most memorable anecdotes she own took place in classrooms. Working with teenagers
has been one of the most satisfying experience in her entire life. She loves the way students
can act spontaneity in the terms of solving problems and making things different.
ALTERNATE WORKS:
She told us that if she would have to change her work, it would be just the school because
she loves what she do. She wants to focus in education where she could work along young
people and help teachers to transform lives. It can be located in another University or school
outside the Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Monterrey.
CONCLUSION.
To sum up with this interview, we can say that Vernica Pedrero is an admirable person,
because in the road of her life, she has learned to many things, like being a person who
really get accomplished her own goals. She said Choose whatever you want, but remember
do what you love to do, with that phrase, we can determine that getting our dreams come
true is difficult at the beginning but once you start to believe in yourself, theres no one who
cant stop you except yourself.
