Examination Rules & Promotion Policy


1) The Syllabus has been designed to make the child feel happy, secured and loved so that the process of

learning becomes an exciting and enjoyable experience.

2) No formal test/examination will be conducted for LKG and UKG.


3) Promotion will be given on the basis of continuous and comprehensive assessment of a childs personality,

physical and emotional development, academic performance and participation in school activities.
4) For proper progress the child should be regular not only in attending school but also in doing his/her
assignments regularly. 80% attendance is compulsory.
5) There will be regular observations made by the class teachers and three observation reports will be
handed over to the parents on parents teachers meeting day. In each observation the number of
assignment sheets completed by the students will be shown to the parents.
6) Wide range of activities has been designed to promote the development of the child by stimulating him
intellectually. The activities mentioned in the syllabus will give the opportunities to the children to
communicate and express themselves freely and gain experience involving all the senses.

EVALUATION GUIDELINE

As per the guidelines of CBSE/DAV EB, continuous and comprehensive evaluation will be done throughout the
session, which will be based on class response in weekly assessments/performance, behavioural traits, project work/
assignments, attitude towards the school activities, peers, teachers and school.
No marks will be reflected in the report Cards. Subject wise grades will be awarded based on the performance of
the students as per the following scales of evaluation.

Evaluation I - April To August, Evaluation II Sept. To Dec., Evaluation III - Jan. To Mar.
