How will you establish procedures?


Organize the physical layout of the classroom to minimize behavior issues.
Generate a list of classroom procedures with goals and steps
Teach the procedures using a model

Procedure examples
Bell work
After student has quietly turned in homework, when entering room, student will find
his or her sit in a timely fashion

Student will take out Lab Notebook and proceed with the Bell work or daily question.
After finished with the bell work student will politely wait for others to finish by, quietly
reading, doing homework, etc.

Procedure
Bell work.
When the come into the class quietly

Hand in any assignments


Find your desk quietly
Start on bell work in your lab notebook
After finished pull out a book or homework and sit quietly waiting for others to finish.

Procedure
Getting ready for Lab.

Grab your notebook.


Make sure your are dressed correctly
In a responsible manner walk to the goggles storage.
Grab goggles and put them on.
Find a work station with your group

Procedures
Last Five minutes
Students will begin to start cleaning up
Lab Stations

Ask any questions about homework
Recap and wait quietly for the bell

Remind students after long breaks about expectations
Remind students when semester is halfway over.
Possibly give the a quiz on expectations and procedures. At random times in
the semester or year.

Negative reinforcement- Example: Student is always turning homework lateSo after two weeks of handing in homework on time Ill reduce the
homework on an assignment.

Negative Punishment
Student is acting out and bugging students around him
Penalty Box- send the student to a different part of the room maybe its the back
concern of desks where no one sits. This allows the student to cool off.

Positive Punishment
Apology Letters- Student or Students have to write an apology letter to the
who was affected by the behavior.
