ANALYSIS

The following are my the objectives for the particular lesson which are
relevant in the educational management and evaluation.
a) acquire the necessary information to enable them to understand
environmental problems, particularly local ones;
b) apply knowledge of ecological concepts and acquired skills to
analyse environmental issues;
c) apply acquired knowledge to foresee consequences of actions and
suggest alternative proposals for the protection of the environment;
d) see from where they can obtain further information about the
environment, so that they could form a holistic perspective of
environmental issues;
e) understand and communicate how religious, economic, political and
social aspects of Maltese culture influence the environment;
f) understand and communicate the environmental impact of individual
actions;
g) identify a variety of environmental issues of a local, national,
regional, or global nature and their ecological and cultural implications;
h) suggest alternative and practical solutions to environmental issues
and see the ecological and cultural implications of these suggestions;
What I need to learn more is to understand the necessity of serious
analysis of environmental issues before decisions are taken about them;
understand how diverse opinions and values affect environmental issues and
the necessity of clarifying personal values before decisions about the
environment are taken; understand the necessity of responsible action by
citizens to find solutions for environmental problems.
Monitoring is important at this implementation phase to ensure that
the project is implemented as per the schedule. This is a continuous process
that should be put in place before project implementation starts. As such, the
monitoring activities should appear on the work plan and should involve all
stake holders. If activities are not going on well, arrangements should be
made to identify the problem so that they can be corrected.
Monitoring is also important to ensure that activities are implemented
as planned. This helps the implementors to measure how well they are
achieving their targets. This is based on the understanding that the process
through which a project is implemented has a lot of effect on its use,
operation and maintenance. The planners, implementors and community
members should also identify the constraints they may face in executing the

project and how they can overcome them. Based on the extent of the
constraints and positive forces, the implementors may decide to continue
with the project or to drop it. The goals and objectives provide the basis for
monitoring and evaluating a project. They are the yardsticks upon which
project success or failure is measured
