Strengths
This was overall a good lesson
Nouf. This is because you
planned it well and staged the
learning objectives. There was
variety and interesting tasks
and focus activities for the
girls. They were responsive
and focused except at the end
of the mat work when they
became restless. It was great
to see you organised the mat
focus and it worked well with
the data show. Keep using
your strategies but add the
missing elements identified
today too.
Look at my suggestions in the
lesson plan and consider my
points to make your lesson and
teaching even better.
Well done, a good lesson Nouf.
Ms Julie. 16/10/2016.
Observation 2
Nouf, your lesson began will
with the model and questions.
This was followed by the video
but you didnt focus on the

sentence tenses here.
You planned a detailed lesson
but it is necessary that you
focus on the detail of your
teaching so you can better
scaffold and support learning.
When you plan your lesson
identify the areas that need
clear scaffolding and more
teaching direction for the
students. You also need more
attention to detail in your
resources such as the flash
cards, we discussed this point
and please refer to your lesson
plan notes for this lesson.
Keep up your attention to
improvement and work on the
areas identified in our
discussion.

Your lesson plan was

informative and detailed. You
can add more detail. Can you
see where?

Planning
for
Learning

Lesson plan has sufficient detail to

secure effective delivery but more
information about engagement in
the phases
Learning objectives are testable
and directly linked to curriculum
outcomes
Lesson plans have some
monitoring strategies for
assessment

Think laterally about your

lesson objectives and start
with these when you plan the
phases.

Your classroom management
strategies are effective and
you manage behaviours
during the lesson.

Did you use differentiation in

the lesson? It should be
clearly noted in your plans.
It is important that you
scaffold and model for the
students. This was apparent
in phase one & the extend
phase. Please see lesson plan
notes.

Feedback can be improved

and filtered more throughout
the lesson.
Positive reinforcement to
individual students, groups
and the whole class is
needed.
You can still improve feedback
so it connects with all

students.
Well done Nouf.
You show and communicate
critical reflection and certainly
show a deep interest in
learning and implementing
new ideas to help you develop
and improve as an effective
teacher.

Action Points
When you introduce anything,
including the introduction to the
lesson objectives, new phases or
activities include your
expectations- this is important
Work on your feedback strategies
Be more conscious of scaffolding
all the students.
Consider how you will transition
the phases and activities better.
