The margin for page set up of the report is left-38mm, top-30mm, right-25mm and
bottom-25mm. Please type using Times New Roman with the size of 12 pointt and single
spacing. The paragraphs start from the left (no indentation) and are separated by 1 space.
In between sentences, there should be two spaces after a full stop. Please use justify
margin.
The Introduction section contains general information regarding the project or what the
project is about, the definitions and current research in the field can be mentioned here as
well as identifying the gap and how your research fills the gap.
2.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
The problem of the subject area for the project is identified and stated here. Any research
arises due to the fact that there are problems that need to be solved. Please write the
problem you want to address or the question(s) you want to answer. Elaborate on the
variables and their relationships.
3.
OBJECTIVES
This section is to discuss the meaning and the importance of your project.
5.
It identifies the scope and boundary of the project. Please narrow down the scope.
6.
The definition of the terminologies pertaining to your research area is placed here for
quick reference of information.
The following are the definition of terms and concepts used in this project:
Islamic banking
Conventional banking refers to a system of banking which earns the major portion of its
revenues and expenses on the basis of interest.
Mudharabah
7.
The discussion of all the known methodology or approach that solves the same problem is
written here. This section also discusses all known similar and relevant on-going
projects. Please quote a few from journals and books of different sources.
8.
METHODOLOGY
The types of project and research method are discussed here. This includes the models,
equations, formulas and the steps to be taken in order to solve the problem.
For example, in this project, there are 5 steps that are used in order to evaluate the
proposal report. The 5 steps are:
Step 1: Data collection
Data is obtained from Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad. State the kind of data (if any)
that is needed for the research, where it can be obtained and whatever information
regarding the data is written here.
Step 2: Data analysis
Describe the method used in analyzing the data.
Step 3: Musyarakah model Development
Maheran and Shahrir (2005) introduced a musyarakah model involving two parties and
two different types of profit sharing rates. The models are

All equations are typed using Equation Editor supplied by Microsoft. All variables must
be written in italic, font is Times New Roman and the size is 12 point. Numbers and
braces are not italic! All representation of variables must be written clearly. Number the
equations if they are refered again in the text. Do not type the equation again, just refer to
the number. Indent the equations with 1 tab and separate the equations with1 space so
that it can be seen clearly.
Table and the title are presented as below. Use only three lines for tables and unless there
are really a lot of columns and rows involved, then highlight all the lines.
