he saw a strange flying object with square lighted windows hovering over
Northfield and Yatala.
The man, aged 38, said he saw the object
while he was cycling home on MondaY about

He said it appeared to be revolving and
hovering just beneath a layer of cloud.
It remained for a few minutes then sped

people who claimed to
have seen white objects
in the sky during the
past fortnight.
This is the first time
the RAAF has ordered a
full-scale report on unidentified flying objects.
On July 15 air traffic
control officers of the
Department of Civil
Aviation saw a white
object in the sky from
Canberra airport's control tower.
Several Canberra
residents later reported
seeing a light in the sky
for about four seconds.
One of the witnesses
said later: "The light
moved at a fantastic
speed just overhead and
then disappeared."

CANBERRA, Fri. The RAAF could not positively

identify a flying object seen from Canberra several weeks
ago, the Minister for Air (Mr. Howson) said today.
R. HOWSON said the
sighting, on July 15,
was made by a number of
people including Department of Civil Aviation
officials on duty at Canberra Airport.
The sighting could not
be positively identified but

investigators believed there

were three possible explanations.
These were:

says the flying saucer people will make
