CONSERVATOR: National Museum of Denmark, 2006-2008
Provided documentation and treatment of a range of paintings and
polychrome sculpture. Worked closely with conservation science department,
curatorial department and churches to ensure proper and accurate analytical
and historical research and assessing environmental conditions.
REGISTRAR/CONSERVATOR: Carlsberg Glyptotek, Copenhagen,
Denmark, 2005-2006
Assisted in installation and deinstallation of traveling exhibition: Degas and
the Landscape.
Worked closely with curatorial and exhibition departments to ensure proper
mounting, housing and handling of collections and to meet expected climate
conditions for reinstallation of galleries.
CONSERVATOR: Atelier Restauro, Denmark 1993 - 2003
Worked closely with museums and private collections by conducting treatments on
art as well as educating about proper housing,care and maintenance. Acted as
project manager for designing and installing new paintings conservation studio at a
regional conservation center on southern Sealand.
CONSERVATOR: Flleskonserveringen, rhus, Denmark, 1991 - 1993
Serving 50 museums with conservation treatments and collections care.
Performed documentation, analysis and treatment on collections ranging from
modern to contemporary art throughout Jutland and Fyen.
ASSOCIATE CONSERVATOR OF PAINTINGS: Los Angeles County
Museum of Art, Los Angeles, CA 1986 - 1991
Performed documentation, analysis and treatment on collections ranging from
14-century Italian panel paintings to contemporary paintings and painted
objects. Aided in installing the then new, three story high Andersen Wing
Prepared traveling exhibitions for outgoing and incoming loans
Acted as an interdepartmental liaison to streamline projects and ensure
timely execution of exhibits
Regularly assessed housing and humidity conditions in galleries, storage and
lab spaces
