r The ruling Justice and Development Party
(AKP) of Turkey has won 2015 Parliamentary
Election of Turkey. AKP had won 49.4 per
cent of the vote, with the main opposition CHP

r AKP won 316 seats of total 550 members while
CHP won 134 seats, HDP won 59 seats and
MHP won 41 seats. In Turkey The Political Parties need to secure 276 seats to govern the
country alone.

r Actor and Oscar-winning writer Colin Welland
passes away
r Academy Award-winning British actor and
screen writer Colin Welland has died at 81 after years of struggling with Alzheimers disease.
Welland was born to John Arthur "Jack" and
Norah Williams in Leigh, Lancashire in 1934.
Welland started his acting career in the BBCs
TV series, "Z-Cars". He then starred as a (seemingly prophetic) villain Frank Chadwick in an
episode of the 1970s British TV police drama.
