GENERAL PROVISIONS:
This Scope of Work checklist is intended to define, but not limit, the scope of work to
be performed. The scope shall include all labor and material, equipment, layout,
supervision, shop drawings, permits, insurance, and all other services required for the
complete performance of the related trade work for this project.
Acknowledge Coastal Subcontract Terms & Conditions / Insurance & Bond
Requirements / Safety Program - Draft Subcontract Agreement including Exhibits A,
B, D, F1, G, H, J, K1 & L - Verify that you have read and comply with Coastal's
subcontract - provide any material exceptions with bid.
The subcontractor acknowledges that verification of this scope of work will supersede
omissions and clarifications in his/her proposal.
It is assumed that additional costs are included for escalation and that potential cost
increases have been considered in this proposal. Trade agrees to no price escalation
on materials oe labor for the duration of the project.
Has completely filled out and submitted Coastal's sub - prequalification form. (This is
mandatory for all subs prior to submitting a bid)
Indicate whether you have done or are presently doing work with Coastal or Tishman
Includes warranty & insurance requirements
Comply With All OSHA & Coastal Safety Requirements, including:
All field employees to have OSHA 10-hr certification
All supervisors and foremen to have OSHA 30-hr/CPR/First Aid certification.
One (1) full-time on-site safety representative when your workforce exceeds 50.
Two (2) representatives if workforce exceeds 100.
Comply with Coastal's insurance requirements per the provided sample certificate
which includes:
$1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate
No residential exclusion
No leased employees without Minimum Premium Policy
No Workers Compensation exemptions allowed.
What are your bonding limits?: Per project / Aggregate
Provide all scaffolding and hoisting required to perform this scope of work. All
equipment must have evidence of recent mechanical certification and be OSHA
approved.
Provide for a 2-way radio system tuned to a Coastal designated frequency.
Full time English speaking superintendent or foreman with authority to accept
direction per shift

Structural Excavation
Backfill & Grading
Cleaning of Sheet Piling as required for base bid
The site will be delivered to the shell subcontractor at the bottom of mat cap
elevation.
The Shell Contractor will excavate the large shear wall caps to the bottom of the cap
and provide and install ballast rock.
The shell contractor will excavate as necessary for each of the smaller individual
caps, grade beams, thickened edges, CIP wall footings and drop offs to the bottom
elevation of the cap as indicated in the design documents and provide and install
ballast rock at his discretion.
Mass dewatering will be provided by others if required, however, the shell
subcontractor will need to perform minor dewatering in individual pile caps via a trash
pump etc.
Once the soils are excavated around the piling, the shell contractor will mark the
cutoff elevation for each pile for cut off and removal by others.
At the completion of the pile cap construction and stripping of forms the Shell
Contractor will perform all back fill to the bottom of the slab on grade.
Buildup, backfill and compaction of the site on grade and other exterior slabs the on
grade will be provided by others. All final hand grading and minor machine grading at
the bottom of the slabs on grade will be performed by the shell subcontractor.
Includes all soil treatment (i.e. termite, pest control) as required and all preparation of
slabs on grade including fine grading, etc.
Provide and install the slab on grade as indicated. General fine grading and minor
grading around backfilled MEP trench work is to be included.
