multiply by one-digit
numbers.
Guided Experience (whole class with teacher)
Activity One: ( Build it)
Teacher will use models (lamination base ten
blocks) to multiply by one-digit numbers
First, teacher will model the multiplication
problem (3 x 23). Then let students count the
number of ten and others count the number
of ones. She will asked them several math
problem and they have model by using base
ten blocks on the board.

Group Working by themselves

Activity Two: model the math problem by
using base ten blocks
30 mins
Group work in math center play

Each group has several math questions

and students in group will read the math
problem together with modeling it on
their mini board.
Teacher will check them and their
understanding the lesson.

Have students complete the exercises

on the student's book indecently.
Teacher will monitor their progress,
providing guidance and intervention as
needed.
