When I was way younger than how young I am right now, I had been taught

in most of my History classes about how was the previous regimes ruled. And
among those regimes, Marcos regime was the worst being painted thus made
me an anti-Marcos at a very young age. But as I grew older and have gone from
one university to another, my thoughts on the most cruel regime have been
shaken and disturbed. I began questioning and doubting. There are so manu
missing puzzles. Lot of things are off the hook. Until one day, I come to a realization
that history is always written by two (or even more) types of writers. Every writer has its
own version of his plot. But if you ask me if what's really my take on this, then I'll tell
you. I am still a no-no to Marcos but with reservations this time. His burial to LNMB is
something he deserved as a soldier and a president of the PH. The decision of the SC did
not give him the title of a hero. It just so happened he was buried with the heroes. Let us
stop this Emotional bluff of politicking. Let us be vigilant as this may be a trick for
another worse unseen scenarios planned by those who have the masters of using the
emotions of the public to satisfy their personal interests.
These commotions of why the Marcoses didn't broadcast Ferdinand's burial are nuts.
Really, nigga? Hidden is way different from private. Srsly. Knowing how the anti-M
would oppose on this, I'd rather keep it private, too.
When future generations look back at this day, I highly doubt that they will declare
Marcos a hero just because he was buried at LNMB. What they will do, and what we
must encourage everyone to do, is to read the Supreme Court decision - both the
concurring and dissenting opinions - and decide for themselves what really happened:
Marcos was buried as a soldier and not as a hero. The future generations should hear the
different sides, so they can form their own opinion about what happened.
49,000 buried at Libingan, and you protest the burial of a former President, and A
CONFIRMED participant of the Bataan death march of soldiers who tried to defend the
country against Japanese aggressio. Ok I hear your point re human rights abuses, but has
there been a single case proven that Marcos personally ORDERED somebody killed? A
document or just eyewitness affidavit that Marcos adopted a state policy of killing and
torturing those who were against his dictatorship, and ordered the PC to implement his
order? Will you protest the burial when the time comes of another president who had
command responsibility over the Philippine Constabulary that is accused of all these
human rights abuses? Should the government review the record of each and every
military man buried there to determine if he participated in some human rights abuses or
killed an NPA, and if he did, order the exhumation of the body?
OK. Swiss bank accounts were traced to be his, and this is very very bad. But is that
enough to erase his being a President and a death-marcher? Please tell me if I'm so very
wrong when I say to the Yellows with placards "Marcos is not a hero", that he is not
being buried there for being a hero, but solely for, as Duterte has said repeatedly, being a
soldier and a president.
Marcos biggest sin was that when he found out he had a debilitating disease in 1980,
he still held on to power, which resulted ina political crisis that combined with the 1983
global debt crisis to push the country into such deep recession 1983 to 1985 that is the
real cause of our underdevelopment.

I respect your rage. I respect your right.

But there are more than 100 million Filipinos with different perspectives. In the end,
the rule of law is the one that will have to reign supreme.
Folks, we said we want change.. so where's our contribution?
