A November of Thanks

November was such a month to be thankful for all the Lord is

doing here in South Africa. He sent us UK volunteers who
served in such a loving way. He blessed the Shiya's people
with a Thanksgiving party. Everyone danced for joyeven
Paige! Baptist Global Response donated school shoes and socks
for orphans at Sibongumbomvu. The kids of Sibong. began
coming to Hilton Baptist on Sundays. The Queen family is
passing finals so far. Jacob's eye glasses came in before we
left for the USA. TN DMV here we come! God IS working all
things for the good for those who love and trust Him as
promised.

Volunteers Ho!
When Thomas wasn't studying for his
SE seminary finals, he was busy
managing the volunteers at Ethembeni
this month. We had a lovely couple from
the UK come out for 10 days to serve
alongside the Ethembeni family. He also
enjoyed taking Calvin, a teen from
Hilton Baptist along with him on house
visits. Mostly the kids at
Sibongumbomvu enjoyed him tossing
them into the air at kids club
(see Facebook video). He also had the
honor of being elected as an elder at
Hilton Baptist Church this month. Pray
for Thomas as he has final exams
beginning next week as he seeks to get
his Masters in Divinity.

An amazing couple of
Brits
We are so thankful for Ashley
and Dorcas. This English couple
took some time away from their
honeymoon to spend it on the
mission field at Ethembeni. They
have only been married 4 weeks
but wanted to start their
marriage out right by serving God
on the mission field together.
Paige loved having them on house
visits as they shared how the
Lord healed their infant nephew
by providing a liver transplant. It
really touched the Shiya's people
and encouraged them.

Newest Sunday school

attenders
We are so excited to see the kids we
teach through the week at
Sibongumbomvu are now attending
Sunday school at Hilton Baptist. About
5-6 kids catch a ride with their
teacher and have been coming to our
grade 4-6 Sunday school classes for
additional bible teaching on Sundays.
Pray each one of these precious kids
come to know the Lord fully.

Shiyas Bible studies

House visit patients are growing
deeper and deeper in the knowledge
of the Lord. They now bring their
children along to listen.
Prior patients who have graduated
from our program by getting a
grant/job even come to hear the
Bible stories. The people loved the
Thanksgiving party we had on
Thursday. We all said what we
were thankful for during the meal.
Most were thankful that they didn't
go to bed with an empty stomach
any longer and were learning truths
about God they had never known.
Pray for continued spiritual growth
in these people who have real HOPE
for the first time.
