Mickey Mouse, Principal

Disney High School

123 Fake St.
Disney, U.S.A
Dear Dr. Mouse:
I am applying for the position of U.S. History teacher at your high school and I would be grateful
if I was considered for the position. My commitment to further the education of students and my
experience in mentoring make me a very qualified candidate.
It is my personal belief that I must motivate and encourage students to seek self-improvement.
This not only applies to their educational studies, but their life outside of school as well. I believe
that with hard work ethic, enthusiasm, and some initiative, my students will strive in the
classroom while being challenged on a daily basis.
As an intern at both the middle school and high school setting, I have acquired various teaching
techniques and methods as well as a vast amount of knowledge that will assist me in my
everyday duties in the classroom. Together with the education I have received from the
iTeachAZ program, I am confident of my abilities to teach in the high school setting. Apart from
my educational education, I also spent five years in the Marine Corps where I developed
mentoring and leadership skills that translate over into the education field.
I would very much like to schedule an appointment to meet one on one with you where we can
discuss your vision for your high school, as well as more background information about myself. I
can be contacted at 602-403-4444 or at fbaquera@hotmail.com.
Thank you for taking the time to see me and I look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Fabian Baquera
