Dear Parents,
MESSAGE OF THE WEEK

Wine would be most welcome this Friday! Your children are invited to wear whatever they like this Friday. Boxes
will be available on the playgrounds on Friday to safely place your bottles in. This is our penultimate week as we are
th
fast approaching the Christmas Fair date on the 10 December. So far, your contributions and efforts in helping us
prepare have been amazing and I would like to offer my thanks on behalf of the PTFA for your generosity!
WORKSHOPS
Following parental questionnaire responses asking for more information on aspects of the curriculum, I hope you have
received invitations by your teacher to attend curriculum workshops that are currently running in different classes.
These are designed to help you find out more about the ways in which we teach key areas of mathematics such as
place value. More sessions are set to take place next term if you have not managed to attend your first this term, but
please keep your eyes open for these invitations as they can make a huge difference in the way that can support your
child at home and with their homework. We are making an effort to video these and are adding them to our
Learning section to allow parents to watch demonstrations if they wish to.
CHEERLEADING
th

There will be no Cheerleading club on Friday 9 December as the Christmas Fair will be being set up. The last
th
Cheerleading session will be on Friday 16 December. Parents can come and watch the children at 4pm.
SEVERN DRIVE AND DUDDLE LANE CROSSING
There will be no lollipop lady at the corner of Duddle Lane and Severn Drive until the temporary traffic lights are
removed.
HEADLICE
Just a polite reminder to please check your childs hair carefully for our little friends. These are troublesome and if we
can keep on top of checking our childrens hair regularly and treating promptly, we can make a difference. Recently
these visitors have been spotted in Year 6.
CHRISTMAS FAIR
Your child will come home today with a paper plate upon which we would like you to donate, cookies, muffins, pies or
cakes for the Fair. Write your name and class on the reverse of the plate for a chance to win a prize. Please can
th
donations be sent in on Friday 9 December. If the cakes contain cream please can they be brought in on Saturday
th
10 December. Thank you.
PRESTON CITY CAROLS
Everybody is welcome to attend Preston City Carols at Preston North End. The event will take place on Monday 5
December at 7-8pm and is free to all.

SICKNESS & DIARRHOEA

We are experiencing both children and staff with illness presently, as we do every year around this time. If your child
