when students go to hand the exam paper, she asks them to rethink about a question to
make sure what the answer is.
o Are the students told how to proceed?
The teacher has clarified the whole exam on the board, the way they should answer with,
in multiple choice they have to color the circle with the correct answer and once they
finish they hand the paper, the teacher makes sure of their answers then asks them to get
out the numbers paper and read it silently.

As in grade one, students faced some difficulties in reading a question that has some
words in it (word problem), so the teacher read the question several times and once
someone asked her to.

o Does she sit at her desk?
In class one: The teacher had the student with special needs beside her desk to read the
question to him as accommodation. Furthermore, the teacher was calling on students
names (the ones who has finish) to come to her desk and check their answer. Once she
found something wrong, she asks them to review their answers.

Students were finished and no one was left without finishing the exam, the teacher made
sure that they solve everything without letting questions without answers.

Reflection

Do you think her actions and responses fit with the type of assessment the students were
working on?

My MSTs actions during the exam have fit the students abilities. As she started the class
organizing students tables to access the whole class and to move around the classroom. Then the
teacher has shown the students the exam using the data show and clarify the questions one by
one. Moreover, she read the questions several times for those who struggled with some of them
especially the word problem. Then the teacher provides the student with special needs a place in
front of the classroom to help him reading the questions and holding the pencil. Also she was
moving around the classroom to check their answers. My MST responded well to the answers
students make and gave them the opportunity to reread the questions and correct their mistakes.
She also has find a solution for those who finished early by getting out the paper of numbers and
read it silently.
