Ronhovde Update

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
WHATS HAPPENING IN THE CLASSROOM?

<<<Reading>>>

<<<Writing>>>

Our new Reading Unit is "Life Depends on

Water." Students have been listening to
and looking at new books such as Manfish,
Life in a Coral Reef, Water Hole Waiting,
Dolphins on the Sand, and Common
Ground. We are exploring how these all
tie into our theme and the importance of
resources.

Just are we're feeling like it's time to

publish, we're diving back into our
informational pieces. How can we revise
to make them stronger? What makes a
solid introduction? Are our facts
accurate? Is our book interesting to our
audience? Stay tuned for publishing party
pics close to the Holidays :)

You've seen many more papers coming

home with this unit. How tricky time can
be... especially elapsed time!! We usually
leave some extra problems on the
activity pages and frequently have
homework problems left for practice
(We go over remembering every day
together.)

This SS Unit has already been exciting...

"What Makes Our Community Diverse?" So.
Many. Things. We have discussed languages,
foods, holidays, traditions, even sports and
games of other cultures. Coinciding with
