Differentiated Instruction / Adaptations / Interventions

I will give students ample time to complete their assignments, as well as assist them in reading
when needed. By doing group readings, this ensures that they will get full comprehension of the
terms and not get hung up.

Procedures
Introduction of Double-Entry Journals (5 Minutes) Here, I will be introducing doubleentry journals for use during the CNN Student News segment, so they can view the material and
be able to organize their thoughts about it in order to set up our next activity.

CNN Student News (10 Minutes) Students will view the daily episode of CNN Student
News so as to gain a better understanding of what is going on in the world around them.

Read and Discuss Chapter 6, Lessons 2 and 3 (30 Minutes) This is the main task of the
day, which is covering the two remaining lessons in chapter 6. We will be covering the material,
as well as discussing the details of it as we go, finally culminating in the end-of-the-chapter
study guide review that they will fill out after we have concluded our reading.

Reading and Discussion of The Israelites and Judaism (20 Minutes) This will be
supplementary material for the readings of the chapter that we just did, and will serve as a deeper
look into the Israelites and Judaism as a whole.

Kahoot! Game (25 Minutes) We will be using Kahoot! as a way to: 1) foster interaction
between the students, 2) review the material that they will be needing to know for the exam, and
3) have fun with the material. I have set up a game of 15 questions that I will be using to help
them understand everything better, as well as have fun with.

Assessment

read them, and this will be i
Summative: The Kahoot! game will serve as a summative assessment, encompassing both these
