expectations
Notes/Evidence: The expectations are set to high standards. In the plan the teacher says that I
will read the book to you but I will not help you find anything. This lets me know that the
teacher believes the students can complete the work on their own.

Management
Notes/Evidence: The classroom is well managed. During the lesson plan you can see that the
classroom is controlled. The teacher does not give students a chance to sit around with
nothing to do. The lesson plan stated that as some students are doing group work other
students are giving something else to do.

Short Response Reflection

Answer the questions below inside of the box for each question.
1. What was the easiest part of this assignment? This easiest part of this assignment was
finding a lesson plan for the grade level that I want to teach.
2. What was the most difficult part of the assignment? The most difficult part of this
assignment was doing the evaluation and critiquing the lesson plan.
3. What can you relate to for your own planning of instruction and lesson planning?
Considering I have not used a lesson plan I have created in an actual classroom I cannot
relate the activity. However, I can take the evaluation scale and use it for my future lesson
plans.
4. Which characteristic did you feel the most comfortable with assessing? Why? The
characteristic I felt most comfortable with assessing was the opportunity to learn. I
thought the lesson plan providing several situations for the students to work independently
and with groups giving them the opportunity to learn on their own and using the
instructions to complete the activities.
Which characteristic did you feel the least comfortable with assessing? Why? The
characteristic I feel the least comfortable with assessing was the assessment. I was not
sure if enough information was provided on the lesson plan for the assessment. I thought
the lesson plan should have provided some assessment examples or the assessment itself.
