assignment in a group. Students are given an opportunity to read the book on their own and
predict what the book is about.

Notes/Evidence: The lesson plan created an opportunity for the teacher to make sure the
students paying attention to the assignment by providing opportunities for them to share their
work to the class. Students are also given several opportunities to complete task on their own.

Notes/Evidence: The expectations are set to high standards. In the plan the teacher says that I
will read the book to you but I will not help you find anything. This lets me know that the
teacher believes the students can complete the work on their own.

Notes/Evidence: The classroom is well managed. During the lesson plan you can see that the
classroom is controlled. The teacher does not give students a chance to sit around with
nothing to do. The lesson plan stated that as some students are doing group work other
students are giving something else to do.
