Not given clearly as learning objective to

students, but included on LP and in lesson

lesson is KET related.
Yesrefers to previous work on LP as review of
previously used vocab for modals and their
meanings. Students are verbally quizzed to
begin new practice and seem to appreciate a
refresher on these past words.
Loud and clear. Repeats often and makes a lot
effort to confirm understanding. Well done.
Great use of a step-by step approach to be
formulaic in the constructions. Students are
able to see/repeat the sentence or verb
structures, give an answer and the use in an
individual application. FJ is circulating and
Holistically approached from both theory and
practice. Speaking, writing and listening
combined in practical activities. Students have
been given several activities that incorporate
multiple
skills at once.
Mostly
whole-group
activities where students
are working independently and responding to
teacher. Layout of classroom worked very well
to keep everyone active.
FJ took the time to move loner student into
active group. She was consistently circulating
throughout the classroom providing support
and encouragement.

Friendly and firm throughout. Calls students by

COMMENTS

FJ takes the time to reformat and rephrase

questions when students are facing difficulties.
Mostly full group questioning. Good use of
constructive questioning for introducing new
points.
Well done from content and technique
perspectives. Manages the low level of this
class very well through interesting and
interactive activities.
Yes..students discuss answers and reflect on
the tasks. FJ tells them about the next class
meeting.
Good resources created and provided to
students. Could be more professional with
logos, page numbers and source. FJ might
consider using department resources
available.
TAG has been given. Assessment based on
KET and will be given as a practice exam prior
to external testing.
Admin files are mostly complete. Weekly
lesson plans could be more timely.
