following this speech competition.
Well, lets we attention
you, you, you and us knows this disease
Diarrhea continiuosly, the swollen nodes, skin cancer, mouth sore may be, and
weight down noticeably....its the characteristic of this desease...what is that...
Exactly, its HIV AIDS
Do you know, HIV AIDS are a acronyim, what are they ?

H = Human I = Immunodeficiency V = Virus

A =Acquired
I =Immune
D =De .ciency
S =Syndrome
Is the same between HIV and AIDS ?
Different ??
If different..where are the different ??
Its the reason Im here...lets we discusse it.
HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system so that we could not resist the
diseases that attack our bodies. When our immune system is weak, then we will
be attacked by various diseases that are all around us such as tuberculosis,
diarrhea, skin problems, etc. A collection of symptoms that attack our bodies that
is called AIDS. Its simple meaning
Ok i will give the different more be specific
HIV / AIDS is often linked with each other with the same meaning. However, HIV
and AIDS have different meanings. A person can be infected with HIV, the virus if
they get into the blood circulation channel. The HIV virus attacks the immune
system of a person, so the immune system weakens and against other diseases
can even cause death. WOW..its make death.......This condition is called AIDS

HIV does not mean that people with AIDS or someone who will soon die. Even
without treatment many people with HIV are still able to survive long enough. At
this time.. the only treatment that has been developed to slow the damage to
the immune system.
How the transmission of HIV ??
The Way of transmission of HIV
HIV can only live in body fluids such as:
Blood
Vaginal fluid
sperm fluid or we can say semen
Breastmilk (ASI)
Transmission can occur through:
Sexual intercourse with someone who has HIV / AIDS, sex with a partner who
alternated and not using protective equipment (condoms)...using sutra please
(joke)
Contacts blood and blood transfusions contaminated with HIV virus
The use of syringes or needles piercing together or alternately with HIVinfected people
HIV is not transmitted through:
people handshake
kissing...so dont worry if you kissing with your boyfriend or girlfriend..but be
careful..may be someone was looking you when you kissed (just joke)
eating together
live at home
How to know whether someone has HIV or AIDS?
Until three or six months after the entry of the HIV virus, the virus is not
necessarily to be found in the body because it is hidden. Period can not see the
virus called time window.
After six months the virus usually begin to be seen if the person had a blood test.
There is no other way to find the virus other than through a blood test. If it is
found, it is called HIV positive infected.
Well at the time such person is said to have reached the stage of AIDS and called
PLWHA (PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV / AIDS) or in indonesia we always say ODHA
(Orang Dengan HIV AIDS) . I think all of you ever hear ODHA. Until now there is
no effective medicines to kill the HIV virus or heals people with AIDS.
Now the laboratory tests...because Im a analis student
In laboratory test, we do several steps...and the first
scan can detect antibodies to HIV. But because maternal anti-HIV antibodies

transferred passively during pregnancy and can be detected up to 18 months of

age

The second
Real time PCR (RT-PCR) capable of detecting RNA and DNA HIV, and it is being
marketed at a price much cheaper than before. ICD p24 assay that has been
developed up to the fourth generation can still be used on a limited basis.
Third
Other laboratory examinations are complementary information and assist in the
staging and the selection of antiretroviral medicines. On examination of the
peripheral blood can be found anemia, leukositopenia, lymphopenia, and
thrombocytopenia. This can be caused by a direct effect of HIV on the cell of
origin, the formation of autoantibodies against the cell of origin, or due to
opportunistic infections.
And the last
Total CD4 lymphocytes decreased and CD8 increased so that the ratio of CD4 /
CD8 decreased. T-cell function decreases, it can be seen from the decrease in the
proliferative response of T cells to antigen or mitogen.

Ok, now .. how to prevention HIV AIDS ?

Theres many way to prevention of HIV AIDS...what are they ??
1) Giving health counseling in schools and in the community should be
emphasized that having a sex partner who alternated as well as injecting
drug use can increase the risk of HIV infection.
2) Not having sex or have sex with a person known to be suffering from an
infection. In other situations, latex condoms must be used correctly
3) Every pregnant woman early in pregnancy should be advised to be tested
for HIV as a routine activity of the standard of care. HIV positive mother
should be evaluated to assess their need for therapy zidovudine (ZDV) to
prevent HIV transmission through the uterus and perinatal.
4) If you want to do a transfusion doctor should see the patient's condition
carefully whether there is a medical indication for transfusion.
5) Health workers should use latex gloves, eye protection and other
protective equipment to avoid contact with blood or fluids containing
blood.
6) The WHO recommends immunization for children with asymptomatic HIV
infection with EPI vaccines (Expanded Programme on Immunization
Well,, i have explained about the definition of hiv aids, how the transmission,
