Mission Statement
Here at Photoshop Creative, we
promise to always give you the best
selection of resources to help improve
your Photoshop skills. Whether its
in-depth guides to tools and
techniques, or showing how to create
a work of digital art, well make sure
the information you get is accurate
and informative. We want you to get
the optimum Photoshop experience,
and have as much fun using the
program as we do putting the
magazine together.

How many times have you

picked up a magazine and
wished you could create its
cover? Well, this issue you
get to have a go at exactly
that. Turn to page 26 and
learn not only how to make
an illustration worthy of a cover, but also
how to work with displacement maps. If
digital painting is more your thing, stop by
page 40 where we look at re-creating one of
Salvador Dalis masterpieces. This Surrealist
godfather would have had kittens if he had
ever got the change to use the Photoshop
software, so we think its only fitting to use
the program to emulate one of his works.
Digital photographers get the change to play
with HDR images and enjoy unprecedented
control over the look of their photos, and
we also reveal how to change the colour of
an object and still keep its tone, texture and
detail. Illustrators get the chance to play with
producing an x-ray effect on a photo. Plus we
have essential guides to using the in-built tools
and techniques of the Photoshop software.
Finally, a big thank you to everyone who
has written in with their comments about
issue one. We really want you to be part of
the magazine, and that means hearing your
opinions, whether they be good, bad
or indifferent.
