ISSUES IN SCM
Depending on the role within the supply chain management department within an
organization, an individual may focus on supply, forecasting, scheduling, distribution,
customer service or sales. Each of these are an essential component for delivering a
product to a consumer and helping a company generate sales. In addition, supply chain
professionals must have insight into logistical details and emergency planning
scenarios, as incidents like natural disasters can cause major issues with the supply

customer or manufacturer.

Time is also a major issue faced in SCM.a supplier may be unable to reach
manufacturer or customer that may cause in lost of customer faith that company
deliver on its promised.

Natural have occurred in past in pakistan such as flood

and earth quake.but the govt has not made any nessassey setup to tackle any
emergency situation so it may be also be a issue to SCM.

4:COMPLEXITY:
Complexity occurs when there are more than 2 or 3 suppliers
are involve to deliver product.consider that a product is needed to supply from
karachi to muree .the distance is quite long and a supplier may not drive that long
distance so many supplier are involve to reach the destinantion that cause
complexity and may cause SCM and confusion in communicating and understanding
the location.

5:COST:
As we mention in the previous point that long distance and moany
supplier in delivering product is a big responcibility it may also cost quite a bit.the
long distance cost more as suppliers needs there cut as well.

6:ERROR:
An error can occur anywhere by anyone.this may also cause an issue in
SCM.as error can occur when tranporting product .the product can be damage,in
shifting or it may be not the same product as required.

7:TRANSPORTATION:
Transportation is also an issue as its pakistan and
transportation is difficult as the roads are not very much paved in pakistan.there may
be robbery in deserted lands of pakistan , many such incidents have occurred in
sindh way.

8:PROTEST:
In a country such as pakistan the protest is a very normal thing.as we
have seen in news .recently the capital is struggling from protest.so it also effects
our economy and in the end SCM is also disturbed because if the capital is not doing
well how can the companies and there work can be okay.

Pakistan is a country that is suffering from

terroristism.the terroristism is a mojor effecting our economy.the last terrorist attck or
bombing had happened in mid days of this month.this cause the whole city to stop
and fear in terror that also causes to stop or hold in any bussiness activities.also the
transportation had been stop.

10:LANGUAGE:
Language is also a problem or hurdle .as there are 5 provinces
and each province has many language .its not easy to understand all languages and
it takes time to learn them.this also cause SCM issue that a tranporter and
manufacturer as well as supplier and customer are unable to understand each other.
