Essay: European invasion of America and their influence on life
of Native American.
We all know that the America was discovered by
Christopher Colombus in 1492 and the new chapter of the
America was opened. But with Native America, it was not all the
fact about this historical event, they said that Christopher was
a conqueror and his doing was destroyed thier ancient culture.
This contradition offered historians an extraordinary
opportunity to research the invasion of Europen for America
and their influence on the New World.
What we know about the history specially political events
is from the conquerors, diplomatists, victorys goverments
whose retelling was always in the bright side but with the
victims suffered from the invasion it was totally opposite.
Howard Zinn, a multivolume in his term wrote in his book A
peoples history of US that when Columbus encountered with
the Arawaks he had the thinking to made these peple become
his slaves. He forced them to fing the gold, metal and other
resouces... as much as possibke. Unfornutately, the gold around
this land was bits of dust, the Arawaks failed the impossible
mission and then they was killed or hunte down with dogs. His
two expeditions were two bloodshed, women and children
were taken as slacws for sex and labors. In 1945, he rouned up
1,500 Arawaks men, women and children, picked out 500 of the
best specimens to load onto the ship. However, 200 died prior
to arriving at Spain, the ones that survived were put up for sale
on the slave market. That why the Native America absolutely
refuse to celebrate Colombus Day.
